For some reason, Uncle Billy talking about finding another job and being 'only' 55 hit me differently this time around.Let's drink a cup of kindness and salute this Christmas classic thread once again.

Good point. The old maid/spinster look with the hair pulled back on Mary is a turn off.C'monViolet or Mary?

What are you doing - picketing?Started on IAWL ... changed over to Home Alone
Idk that it's them.It would be wise to have a physical or digital copy of this movie, and not rely on mass media to show it intact. Amazon Prime just shortened it by 24 minutes.

Physical Media for the Win: Amazon’s ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ Cuts Pivotal Scenes
One tradition in my household is to watch It’s a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve. There is something about the story of a good man, George Bailey, and his realization that life is worth living and…bleedingfool.com
- They removed all the vignettes of Bedford Falls during the war. We never learn how the town pulled together to aid the war effort or Harry Bailey’s heroics. They just mention the war and in the next scene, George is holding the paper saying Harry was a hero.
- They took out a drunk George hitting the tree with his car, which was odd because they showed him kissing it later with no idea why it was there.
- They took out his desperation at the bridge as George thought about taking his life before saving Clarence.
- They shortened Georges conversation with Clarence while they were drying off, with Clarence barely explaining his purpose for jumping in the river to save George. You never see Clarence grant George’s wish of not having been born.
- And the worst crime is that they took out the entire portion of the movie where you see Bedford Falls if George hadn’t lived! This made absolutely zero sense, as you have no idea why George is suddenly running for joy after talking to Clarence. It guts the heart and warmth out of the entire ending.
What?!It would be wise to have a physical or digital copy of this movie, and not rely on mass media to show it intact. Amazon Prime just shortened it by 24 minutes.

I was watching Adventures in Babysitting on Disney plus last month and it's been edited. It sucks. They took the curse words which means we no longer get the great line, "don't f--k with the babysitter!". So lame.Unreal.
