I'm all in. I have Manning/Demaryius in both my leagues.
This "old man" is going to show everyone who's still the king.

Completely agree. From what i saw in both games i can easily see KC winning by a touchdown or more. Peyton just looked awful while Smith looked great.KC could very well kill Denver.Manning is in the twilight of his career. He has talent all around him and all he has to do is make limited plays just like Elway did. Is he a 400 yards passer like the Manning of the past? No, but he can still manage the game enough to get wins. What I saw today were timing issues with WRs and O-line issues. Plus the Balt. Defense is no joke--this was a great game to get a win.

Isn't KC's pass rush more fierce than the Ravens? With Denver's oline issues I wouldn't feel comfortable starting any Denver offensive player.Manning is in the twilight of his career. KC is no slouch on D and Manning's arm is a noodle....as is Brees'i'll take KC. manning looks done, and denver doesn't really impress me much without him.
Fox is a nice man but he's not winning anything.I still don't understand why Fox & more importantly Gase were cut loose by Elway. They did have a good thing at least on offense. This just looks like the old Ravens/Texans passing games, I think this is more Kubiak than Manning, albeit recognizing Manning's growing limitations they're not that bad.
Uh, did you not watch today? Their defense looks nothing short of outstanding.i'll take KC. manning looks done, and denver doesn't really impress me much without him.
Yep. i don't own manning but i own Thomas. thought about trying to trade him in the offseason but didn't act on it. oh well. What scares me is they can get away with game manager Peyton with their defense. They have no reason to change their offensive game plan if they are winning.
I'm sure glad they did.I still don't understand why Fox & more importantly Gase were cut loose by Elway. They did have a good thing at least on offense. If you mean a Super Bowl, Kubs is? The criticism of Fox is laughable. Unless you're comparing him to Belichek or a couple other guys, he's just as good as the rest of good coaches.Fox is a nice man but he's not winning anything.I still don't understand why Fox & more importantly Gase were cut loose by Elway. Thisthey can get away with game manager Peyton with their defense. They have no reason to change their offensive game plan if they are winning.
Yes. On repay it was a bad call.Did I see a false start penalty on Manning yesterday?
What's he going for these days? Seems weird to say it but I might go after him if his owner is scared, with the idea that he'll be better with oz.Yep. i don't own manning but i own Thomas. thought about trying to trade him in the offseason but didn't act on it. oh well. What scares me is they can get away with game manager Peyton with their defense. Im staying away from DT. I don't like the new offense at ALL! i watched peyton during his conference at the end of the game and he was not happy/comfortable with anything they were asking that had to do with the offense. I don't think peyton himself is don't talent wise and strength wise but his greatest strength was reading the defense and calling the play himself. Now Kubiak has control of all that and you can tell just by the way he was talking yesterday. What's he going for these days? I'll disagree here with the Kubiak portion - I think he was trying to avoid throwing the OL under the bus. He was trying to do just as you say and read the D. Inevitably he had problems because this line is all new - yesterday was the first time playing together. He is still making the calls at the line - and right now he has no confidence in their ability to work out the blitzes - especially the late blitz. So his calls at the line snowball and lack confidence. He's also recognizing his limits as well - and it frustrates him regarding these calls. That late blitz has to be solved - because he can't move and while he sees a pre snap blitz teams are now able to hold a second and pick/change the hole through the line. He's a sitting duck back there in these situations. This OL is light years difference from the one 2 years ago - 3 rookies and lower talent at tackle. It's going to take a while to fix and get all of the OL working together. Hopefully Peyton can survive and make better calls/reads and the OL to react before he gets killed. He knows there is trouble and he knows that he is partly to blame - I think he can still make a difference on the field - just not enough for all the fantasy players out there.Im staying away from DT. The streaming D thread seems to think so. I agree.KC D a good stream this week?

But think about it this way, how much practice did Manning get with Sanders? I mean Sanders looked like he was just in another gear compared to every player on the field Sunday. This kind of timing will take a bit to get down. I would have loved to see a reverse play to Sanders just to get him the ball. The offense was really generic in my opinion. The big difference is, Elway could still sling it, even if he couldn't run around like he used to. Look at the TD throw to Rod Smith in his last pro game, the 80-yard bomb. The way Peyton looks now, he'd missed Smith by a mile on that kind of throw.
also Elway retired at 38. Manning is falling apart physically, it's just the reality of getting old.The big difference is, Elway could still sling it, even if he couldn't run around like he used to. The problem is you are comparing stats from 97 and 98 to today's league. You act like Elway was a game manager in 97, yet he had the 6th most yards in the league and the 4th most touchdowns. In 98 he was 11th but missed 3 games and most of another so his pace would have put him 7th in the league. The Peyton Manning we have seen for the last half season or so doesn't look like he could be a top 10 quarterback in this league.I'll disagree here with the Kubiak portion - I think he was trying to avoid throwing the OL under the bus. They have no reason to change their offensive game plan if they are winning.Exactly I love the way people are letting their fantasy football cloud football reality. Manning is in full Elway mode. I have lived in Colorado all my life (46 years). I have played FF for 25 years and I can tell you I remember the 97 and 98 Super Bowl Bronco years very well.
1997--Denver goes 6-0 to start and in those games Elway never throws for over 233 yards in any of those first six games. They finish 12-4 with Elway breaking the 300 yard mark once and Denver wins it all with a good running game and strong D
1998-Denver starts 13-0 and in those games Elway only throws for over 300 yards twice in 5 of those games he is in hundreds. Denver wins the Super Bowl.
This season--Denver has an amazing defense. A strong kicker, Lots of weapons on offense. If the injury bug stays away, Manning can be average and this team will contend. NE may very well win their division, but they have 3 teams there with strong defenses that won't make it easy and Indy is already one back in the divisional standings.
I think Denver beats KC because Alex Smith is well. Alex Smith, You hit him a couple times, he gets jumpy and scrambles and there goes the KC offensive game plan.
You won't be for long. You can just blame it on Peyton, though.as a Bronco fan, I am tooI'm sure glad they did.I still don't understand why Fox & more importantly Gase were cut loose by Elway. No, it was his 2nd half in 2014 in addition to his Week 1 outing. He's been garbage since November of last year. One bad outing against an excellent Defense and he is done? I have been here a long time. Some things never change.
I thought the 80 yard TD drive was pretty impressive. The TD's themselves were nothing amazing. Not impressed with the TDs.
Man up, make your own decisions.I swear listening to the "experts" hurts me more in fantasy then it helps
No such thing as an expert. I personally know a handful of people who are easily better at anything and everything FF related than any of the "experts" I have seen on major sites, including this one.I swear listening to the "experts" hurts me more in fantasy then it helps
