Chargers cornerback Quentin Jammer looks as if he will return to the defensive backfield this Sunday against the Ravens. Jammer has sat out the last two weeks with a strained hamstring. He is still listed as a game time decision, but it is believed that he will be ready for Sunday.

Our View

Jammer's return will put Antonio Cromartie and his league-best six interceptions on the bench (at least when the team is not in nickel situations).

How can the Chargers put Cromartie on the bench after how well he's played lately? He's been a force at CB lately. Who is the other starting CB and why wouldn't he be demoted?

Seems like Jammer and Cromartie would make a pretty good tandem.

Drayton Florence? Why would this guy not go to the bench? Maybe Fanball is just speculating that Jammer would replace Cromartie....I can't see him going to the bench.If anyone should be replaced in SD it's Rivers.

Because there are stupid coaches in the NFL. Playing great doesn't mean as much as what round were you drafted in to some of these boneheads.

Local San Diego newspaper is speculating that Cromartie will start opposite Jammer tomorrow, sending Florence to the nickel.

I'm a huge Cro fan and think he needs to be on the field more, but he's not a better player than Jammer at this point and Florence has played well. How quickly folks forget Cro getting toasted last week by Reggie Williams on that 35 yard TD pass.

He's young and will make mistakes. That was a bad play but if you look at his good plays vs bad plays ratio the last 3 weeks then obviously the good outweighs the bad. Everyone gets burned once in a while. His playmaking can't be denied. I'll lay pretty good odds that "Toast &" Jammer gets burned or has to flail a PI more than Cro this weekend.
