Javon Walker injured (1 Viewer)

I wonder, this may wind up costing Sherman his job too. It's the last year of his contract I believe. He's got a good record, maybe he'll replace Holmgren again.

Sherman just signed a two year extension, to the chagrin of many in Packerland.
 
The problem with Sherman and Rossely is their inability to make adjustments. Green ran the ball well in the first half yet he only had 4 carries in the second half. The staff stuck with their gameplan to attack the Lions through the air instead of running at their defensive line.

 
Hah, glad to hear I'm not the only sucker who drafted Steve Smith last year and Javon Walker this year. Just remember, when you consider ALL the skill positions you could be hurt at, there is always a breakout receiver each year. Just pay attention to our beloved boards and FBG email, and we'll bag the next big thing to make up for it. No sweat, week two commeth! :)

:goodposting: The season is not over if you lost Walker, at least it shouldn't be if you drafted worth a damn.
 
I almost traded Walker to the Favre owner for Holt last week....he backed out at the last minute.....DAMN DAMN DAMN

 
If Walker goes down for the year or any length of time, as a Packer fan all I can hope for is that the Ahman Green/Najeh Davenport/Tony Fisher show begins. Power run team that could easily lead the league in rushing if they give these guys a chance to shine.

WR's aside and utilize them in a way such as KC does theres but Green Bay needs to look at this power run option.

Not a bad thought at all. Look at what Terrell Davis did for John Elway at the end of his career. The Packers RBs certainly have the talent, but can their decimated O-Line hold up for that kind of game plan?

No Beetle, but some people get to use the IR moves b4 the WW people get in there. I have already lobied my Commish in one of the leagues I am in and he said he needs an article stating Walker is done...I sent him the CBS Sportsline article and I will be taking Arnez Battle b4 everyone gets in there and picks over the bones this week.
 
They have announced that Javon will have season ending surgery (No, I don't have a link, but it is on the ticker at ESPN).MOP - what kind of 8 team league are you in that Battle wasn't drafted?

Kinda like MOP said, but different. I can't even open a spot on my team until he's on IR. As it's a 30 deep dynasty league, the IR slots (2) are reserved for players on the IR in the NFL. No benching a guy and getting an extra slot.

I don't want to cut Taylor Jacobs (to make a pickup), but he might just be the #30 player on my team. I got to know by midnight tonight.

 
Milwaukee's post MNF ABC news outlet just stated the Packers have worked out, and could sign as soon as tommorrow WR.......Jerome Pathon.Sorry, no link.
