Jeff Fisher - he's got to be smarter than that (1 Viewer)

I think Fisher respects and likes CJ as a person and wants him to be happy. Nothing makes him happier than chalkin up stats to be one of the greats.
Stats don't make a player great, especially tainted stats like what CJ put up.

Not the same. When the game is in hand - Manning will hand off 10 straight times. Makes sense - really no chance of injury and his job is to secure the snap and handoff. Note he's not handing to Addai - he's on the sideline with the game in hand.

"Tainted stats". Love it. I was under the impression that it is Chris Johnson's job to score touchdowns and it is the opposing teams job to stop him. Instead of hating on Fisher and Johnson, you people should be hating on the Jags for their horrible defense.
I decided to watch youtube video's of chris johnson to get to understand him a little bit. This is why I posted this comment. I also have a man crush on CJ bc I went to ECU with him, although Ive never met him. Its rather hilarious that espn requested the timeouts. Fisher wanted to kneel it until Jack called the timeouts. He then probably had CJ in his ear to run it and decided to say Fk it, take it CJ. I would be fuming if CJ got hurt, dont get me wrong. But CJ seems to go down easily when the play warrants, to which may give Fisher a comfort zone with him.Its nice to see a guy of CJ's caliber be so humble. Im not a psychiatrist, but maybe his twitch has humbled him throughout his life. (wabble wabble, shakey shakey) smiley face

Something I found pretty interesting from the Rams game last year...

Check out 4:55 and 5:30 of this clip.

I'm sure it's not unusual for players to ask to stay in games, but from what I've been hearing about Fisher being a "players coach", it wouldn't surprise me if CJ sweet talked him into keeping him out there.

ETA: :goodposting: at him trying to change the play in the huddle right up to the snap.
LMAO

but yea the best explanation for all this is titans management is stupid and this is the only way for fisher to keep his best guy paid and happy
