Joey Galloway Week 1 (1 Viewer)

expected to play, as i understand it...

(Rotoworld) Joey Galloway (groin) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Analysis: The Bucs aren't going to rush the nearly 37-year-old receiver back into full practice work, but he seems certain to start against the Saints.
(Rotoworld) After missing all of the preseason with a groin injury, Joey Galloway declared himself "ready to go" for the Bucs' opener.Analysis: He'll start at New Orleans in what may be a pass-heavy affair. In two meetings with the Saints last year, Galloway had 294 yards and two TDs on 11 grabs. Of course, he did it against Jason David, who's since been benched.

Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune was just on the radio here and he said Joey is good to go.

Also, Galloway absolutely torches the Saints.

Did he say anything else of note? Anything about who will start opposite Galloway? Or the O-line or run game?

He mentioned that it wasn't really relevant who would "start" opposite Galloway. The Bucs will likely be using both Ike Hilliard and Antonio Bryant in most of their formations. From what I've heard the actual starter will be Antonio Bryant. He said he was very excited to see how Antonio would be used in the offense mostly because the Bucs haven't had a playmaking type receiver like Bryant on the field with Galloway.I didn't hear any mention of the o-line or run game, but with Davin Joseph out it looks like Jeremy Zuttah will be starting. He's been looking very solid so far in training camp and preseason.

Galloway listed as questionable

Joey Galloway, WR TB

News: Bucs WR Joey Galloway (groin) is listed as questionable for Week 1 at New Orleans. He went through limited practice reps all week after missing the entire preseason schedule.

Analysis: The Bucs expect Galloway to play Sunday and that's good news for Fantasy owners since the receiver owns the Saints. In seven meetings with the Saints as a Buccaneer, Galloway has nine touchdowns with at least one score in all but one game. Last year, Galloway caught 11 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints in two games. Consider Galloway a No. 3 Fantasy WR Week 1.
