This head coach is nothing special. QB, RB and now WR mistakes. Something more to this. I am guessing people dont want to play for this coach. This from a team that deactivates guys due to poor practice. Nothing to see here.
Didn't know 6 games was a season... Couldn't the team just take advantage of this? I feel this is a bad policy that can be abused by teams. From CBS
The suspension will prevent him from being an unrestricted free agent after the 2015 season. He would have needed six games to earn a credited season. The one-game suspension by the Browns gives Gordon five games this year, making him a restricted free agent after 2015, not unrestricted.
No that would never fly... this is all Gordon's fault.Didn't know 6 games was a season... Couldn't the team just take advantage of this? I feel this is a bad policy that can be abused by teams. From CBS

You know...somebody from the equipment team just happens to "misplace" Gordon's jersey, causing him to have to search around for an extra 15, 20 minutes and eventually having to show up late in Mr. Benjamin's jersey. Those extra 15 minutes enough of an excuse to suspend a guy who's one game from hitting the FA market...seems too easy.
There we go. It took 13 posts before somebody complained about having more than one overbloated, years old thread about one player. The Shark Pool is slipping.how many threads do we have about this?
How many times to you expect players to have only played in five regular season games, and the team not needing him to play during the last week? If a team tried to pull something like that I'm sure the NLFPA would be getting involved. That likely isn't what happened here.Didn't know 6 games was a season... I'm truly amazed at the number of people flipping out like there isnt any dirtiness by the Browns here. Wait, Gordon smoked weed a few times so he is guilty of everything. Kid is a knucklehead but the Browns have a bad stink from costing him a year because he was late to a practice? This coaching staff is brutal and people automatically think Gordon did wrong here because he smoked weed and a team that benefits from his suspension says so.So glad I traded him for a 1st rounder in my keeper league. Someone else can deal with the headache.
Manziel fined, not suspendedRookie quarterback Johnny Manziel, who vowed this week that he's matured and is "not the same Johnny Manziel that showed up here'' in May, was also late Saturday morning for treatment on his pulled hamstring and will be fined. He's on injured reserve and couldn't participate in the walk-through -- but it didn't go well in the building that he was late nevertheless.
Manziel has already been lectured by the Browns several times this season, including one for his offseason escapades and once after being involved in a fight at his apartment building at 2:36 a.m. -- hours before the walk-through and trip to Atlanta.
A source told cleveland.com that the Browns sent security to Manziel's house because they were worried when he didn't show up and didn't answer his phone.
Why didnt they suspend him? Probably because they didnt gain another year of his contract by doing so.Manziel fined, not suspendedRookie quarterback Johnny Manziel, who vowed this week that he's matured and is "not the same Johnny Manziel that showed up here'' in May, was also late Saturday morning for treatment on his pulled hamstring and will be fined. Definitely some gamesmanship going on. Read an article saying several players were late Saturday cause Manziel threw a big party Friday night. Why didnt they suspend him? CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Josh Gordon is viewed as a "perpetual problem" inside the Browns' organization and "has to go."
Let the pile-on begin. The Gordon bashers have come out in full force the past month, and it's now coming to a head after the team suspended him for the season finale because he missed Saturday's walkthrough. Words like "former star" and "habitually late" were also mentioned in the CBS piece. The Browns put up with Gordon's problems when he posted one of the best seasons in NFL history last season, but now that their season has collapsed in front of them, it's time to throw blame wherever. And Gordon and Johnny Manziel are the ones receiving it. The Browns have been an historically-bad organization for years now. They'd be dumb to dump Gordon. But it appears a split may be coming.

Here's what I don't understand... Why don't some of these talented players care about winning? Do they think they're "entertainers" and just have to put on a show on Sundays? If you're going to win in the NFL, you have to pay a HUGE price in preparation and effort.I'm truly amazed at the number of people flipping out like there isnt any dirtiness by the Browns here. Take it a step further, Blount can be on 4 teams in 5 years go back to Patriots again and people still shout of his ability. The fact that people do not realize talent is what matters in the NFL is funny.
He could be suspended for 4 games again and a team will be kicking down his door still.
Lmfao please drop this guy Cleveland. Your s### hole of an organization isn't worthy of this guy's talent.I dont like Rotoworld blue writing often but this one speaks my feelings.Definitely some gamesmanship going on. Serious question: Can they suspend a player that is on the IR?Why didnt they suspend him?
