nah, the world will be ok when it gets legalized.. was just wondering how it'll be handle by private sectors that do not want their emloyees smoking pot. Then again I was only randomly drug tested once in my whole life. But anyway, enough w/ the hijack

I don't think the private sectors will handle it any differently than they do now, unless for some reason they REALLY don't care if their workers smoke weed.

And yeah, I have been here 10 years and only drug tested once when I was initially hired. But I bet if I screw up and hurt a patient, I would get drug tested.

Actually it is, we are curious how Blackmon can get suspended by the NFL for using a legal substance and comparing it to an illegal substance.

He could be suspended for an otherwise legal steroid of HGH, no? The league pretty clearly prohibits the use by players of many otherwise legal substances. Whether they SHOULD prohibit weed is a very different question than whether they can. And then there is the reality that federal law still prohibits possession and use in every state. I also think I'd do just as well retaining the pick as the WR class looks pretty good. I'd love to get some feedback.

It would be worth the 1.8, maybe a lot higher than that, and I am not even a fan of Blackmon nor do I own him in any league.

Yep. Most talented players have a bout a 50/50 shot to be good. We KNOW Blackmon is good, just gotta hope he has a better than 50-50 shot to stay clean.

I got him right after the suspension for Stevie Johnson (2 year contract, 3% of cap) and a 2nd rounder (ended up 2.15)... Blackmon had salary of 4 years at 5% of the cap

I tried going for Blackmon in a multiplayer deal right after the suspension. The other owner countered with Blackmon straight up for Terrance Williams. This was while Williams still had close to a 90 % catch rate. I jumped on it as fast as I could.

this is just not true. He's going to be given chance after chance. He'll be in the NFL again, even Koren Robinson was let back. Whether he'll be able to stay in the league is the question, not whether he'll have another shot.

yeah, and most times when a troubled player like this is given these types of chance they never reach their potential... if he follows that path I it'll just become a second rate player. Plus thinks are different now, theres much more of a penalty than there was 10 yrs ago, teams won't be as willing to keep bring a guy like this in if he doesn't clean up.

Blackmon is as talented IMO as Julio, Green, Dez and without the off field problems he would be very coveted.

I have known a few addicts in my time. With the Blackmon situation I knew he was going to be suspended again, because post the first suspension he stated he had "NO addiction problem" soon as I heard that I knew he was still in denial and wasn't done using. I have been there myself.

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can correct a problem such as this. I think Blackmon has indeed hit that spot. Now it's up to him to decide if Life is more important than his drug of choice.

Checking in to rehab was a positive and from what I understand he comes from a good Family so he probably has a good support system. I believe for this upcoming Season your going to get a focused clean and Sober model WR. My concern is when the attention is gone and he's a Star once again, gets another contract, that's my concern.

As for Dynasty value I feel good about him this season.

you didint counter and there isn't that big of difference between the 2 offers (2.02 is arguably worth more than my 2016 1st). I believe you said you were gonna stick it out w/ Blackmon only to trade him a day later for arguably a cheaper price.No different then what happened with Charles during season. Blackmon could mess up again but my bet is he has hit rock bottom and comes back. If he stays off drugs he's a top 7 WR in dynasty to me with the upside as top 3. The guy is a straight baller when on the field. Rookie picks are gambles as is Blackmon staying clean. The one known in this equation is Blackmon is a STUD when he plays. I take my chances on him staying clean.
