With the Feds getting involved in the Vick/Dog fighting investigation this thing could turn ugly for Vick.

1- The feds love to make examples of big name offenders and not neccasarilly for the crime but for being untruthful or concealing in the investigations.( Martha Stuart/Scooter Libby) He keeps claiming he doesn't go there , however, a store clerk from the area says he comes there and buys dog supplies and others are started to come out and say he was even on hand at some of the fights. If he is indicted and has been lying this could get ugly.

2-The humane society is all over Goodell to do something in a year when he is trying to set an example of NFL's problem children and Vick doesn't neccesarilly have a clean slate.

If he gets suspended, the year the falcons traded Schaub, how crazy would that be?

jared allen got two games for two DUI's, i'm not sure if this is more serious or not, but i could see him getting between 3-4 games.

Jared Allen got 4 games, IIRC, and that's an automatic suspension. Tough to use as a comparison, especially because the new commish is a hard case.

If he is brought down by the Feds...and I think thats a big if at this point...but if there is an investigation you can be assured that Goodell will be all over Vick. RG doesn't seem to care if a player is popular or not. I am sure before Pacman had his latest run in with the law that he was a crowd favorite at the games last year.

That evil evil freak that HBO did the special on got a brief(compared to what I wanted) time in jail, significant fine(but wouldn't have the same impact on Vick), and couldn't have dogs anymore. What Vick did or didn't do wasn't anywhere near as bad as that guy.

The NFL won't punish someone worse than the law will.

Maybe you want your congressman to put forth harsher laws but as it stands now I don't think dog rights activists will see Vick get a punishment they are satisifed with.

Don't know. Chris Henry was suspended 8 games for his latest infraction of providing alcohol to minors. Granted he had a history of infractions and this was the last straw. But Vick has been no choir boy either. Tarnish the NFL's image and they're going to come down hard.

Trust me, they weren't wrong, he just didn't have any weed in there at the time, hence, why it smelled like marijuana. You're entitled to your opinion but where is everyone's outrage for real crimanals like leonard little who drives drunk and kills a mother of three or randy mcmichael who thinks its ok to beat up on women? I can't stand them, either. A criminal is a criminal as far as I'm concerned and I'm not "Outraged" right now because there is no thread for Leonard Little or Randy McMichael. Start one and I'll post some outrage.Now, let's get this thread back on track. I absolutely think that if and when the Feds connect Vick to the dog fighting ring and/or catch him lying to them, he will be charged and Goodell will Come down hard. He has already set precedent (sp?) and I doubt he will stray from that.

The same guy did his personal site, but this site is full of errors that rookie would make, such as address incorrect, links not working right ect... Also for a site that sells dogs, it doesn't do a very good job. Try to buy a dog on the site and you'll see what I mean. BTW right now they are out of Pit Bulls, but they must be having specials, because you can get the Presa Canarios free!!!! The contact number to call and buy a dog lists a Quanis Phillips as the contact.

Also, what everyone I think is forgetting, is that the reason the cops where there in the first place was to serve a search warrant for drugs. If this can be proven in court, Mike Vick can say goodbye to that house because the Feds will seize it and sell it.
