KC Weather affect on Thigpen (1 Viewer)

I am looking at starting Thigpen this weekend over Orton tonight but the weather isnt looking good as of now. Forecast is 30% chance of rain and Strong winds.

If I wait till sunday I'm screwed because Orton plays tonight.

Any KC Homers with any insight here.

Thanks.

You won't like this...but basically the weather in KC is just bizarre. For instance over the last couple of days we have had snow with a little bit of sleet (schools were cancelled in parts of the city). Today, 45 and sunny with almost no wind at all.

If Sunday is like today, you are golden. If Sunday is like yesterday, not so much. The problem is that it seems to change every day and the weather forecasters are just OK at predicting anything more than a day out.

I don't think you should be concerned abou the KC weather come Sunday. The chances of it being perfectly fine are good and it's not like you have a great Thursday night option anyway.

From the weather reports I'm seeing, everything points toward an overcast day and unseasonably warm Sunday with the temp. close to 60 degrees. The snow isn't supposed to return until Monday.

With a slight chance of rain and a mild breeze blowing at 24mph.

As far as Orton not being an option I'm not sure that is the case.
He's an option, but not nearly as good an option as Thigpen looks to be. Both Thigpen and Orton face defenses that give up a lot of points to QBs, though, so I can see why you are considering Orton. I just think CHI relies much more on RB production for offense than KC does this last half of the season. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Yea the wind is the main thing I'm concerned with.As far as Orton not being an option I'm not sure that is the case.
I agree. I think this could easily be a shootout tonight. Saints are bad at Pass Defense and are pretty certain to score against the Bears, meaning surely Orton will have to throw it. And frankly, Orton has been pretty darn solid and that has been especially true when he has thrown the ball 30 or more times in the game (which he has done 7 times this year and I would shocked if he did not tonight). I think he is a very legit start tonight personally and I am really struggling with whether to put him in or not.

My FBG actually has Orton rated hiigher.

I love Thursday night football but I sure wish I cold wit till sunday to make this decision.
