Keeping Kv Jones and/or Jacobs (1 Viewer)

What would it take for you to keep (or not) and how you think they will be going forward? ie when do you guess they're back and what kind of production to expect from there for rest of season? I'm looking to keep 1 maybe both but wondering if it's worth "wasting" the roster spot(s) vs keeping someone who is notably less on upside but is oh btw actually playing (even tho I might not expect/hope to start them)....

Edit: by 'keeping' I mean for rest of year, not keepers

I would for sure keep KJ. All the things I have read point to a week three return. I would think he will be the the starter and get the bulk of the carries by week 5. Jacobs is a much harder call. If Ward comes in and plays well it could be a long road back. That said I have Jacobs in a redraft league and I am going to keep him on my roster to see how it all plays out.

They're both injured and both have upside.

Kevin Jones has more of a track record of success but Jacobs is recovering from a less severe injury in a more RB friendly system. If you have room on your bench, I'd sure hold onto either one and hold fast. They are both likely better then what is sitting on the waiver wire and neither one is at a high value where they would likely get back enough in a trade.

keeping bjacobs on my roster.. i'll keep him rostered unless his injury turns out to be worse than what they're saying. even if it's full fledged rbbc when he comes back he's still worth a spot IMO(looking at last year)

trying to avoid my specifics as that gets into an AC-type question, but if you have a "lesser" RB w/minimal upside but who at least gets the touches and who you'd have to cut to pick up eg Jacobs, think it's probably worth it?

Depends on your roster and your tastes. If your RB corps is very solid and you want a conservative fill in who is sure to get you some points every week but may never be a stud, stick with the "lesser" RB.If your RB corps is middling and you need a "swing for the fences" sort of play, keep the "upside" guy.For myself, I'm often swinging for the fences and which leads to me some home runs but quite a few strikeouts as well.

In a PPR there's no question. Jones is plenty productive in that system. If it's not, it's possible that neither will be significant contributors this year.

 Yeah, we wouldnt want that.

Man y'all going way out on a limb here.
I thought Avery had the right approach. Without knowing the exact players, I'd do the same thing he suggested. If you're looking at depth, look elsewhere. If you're hoping to find a possible RB2, keep Jones and Jacobs because they are high risk/high reward given their status.
