Clearly Forte is the man in Chicago now. Jones hasn't looked too bad in his limited touches, but nothing spectacular. Does he have a shot to make it somewhere else next year?

Jones signed a one year contract in Chicago so he is a free agent after this year. I had him in a small dynasty league but dropped him due to injuries and byes. He's certainly not producing much right now. However, he's a former starer with talent that never really got to show what he could do due to a sucky team and injuries. If you have the space he might not be a bad guy to hold on to. With his light workload this year he should reemerge a little healthier and he could always end up some place like Denver in free agency. He might be a real steal in such a scenario.

I've kept him in my super deep dynasty league with hopes that he lands elsewhere in the offseason. If he could put together just one year without injuries I say it's worth it to hang on to him if you have the room on your bench.

The fact that he's still in the league cashing a paycheck means you shouldn't count him out. He's not an elite player and nobody will sign him with the intention of making him their unquestioned starter, but there's no reason why he can't sign with a team like Cleveland, New England, or Arizona and carve out a role for himself.

He's a decent guy to stash. Don't put yourself in a position where you're relying on him. Too many question marks.

Jones most likely won't be a factor this season. However, he is a 1st round talent, and has displayed those legit skills in the NFL, even with the Lions. He runs well between the tackles, is a good goaline back, and is a well above average receiver. I think in deeper dynasty leagues, 18+ he's a hold. He may even be a buy low. I'd think he'd be worth somewhere around a later 3rd round rookie pick (30-36).

His career most likely will be defined next season. He's got the talent to win a job outright in a projected RBBC situation. The true test will be whether or not he can stay on the field for 14-16 games.

:football: Worth holding if you have the room. We've seen so far this year in only 7 weeks players come off the bench from nowhere and become major contributors (M. Moore), and guys sign after 5 weeks and be basically handed a starting job (Benson).

Anything can happen

I think he is more talented than a player like Julius Jones. So, we won't know for sure until next season. He will get a chance somewhere to win a role, most likely in a RBBC to begin with. I wouldn't cut him yet. He is still pretty young and I think he has shown pretty good talent.

Jones missed his shot. There will be 3-4 more good RBs to get drafted, and Jones won't be better than any of them. He will make a roster, and that's it. Kevin Jones = not a good RB.
