Socialism > Fascism. Bernie wins...
Donald Trump is a fascist?

Hmmm...a cursory search on the Internets shows that Salon, Slate, HuffPo, Newsweek, Daily Kos all say he is. Why, if these bastions of unbiased journalism say he is then he must be!

But seriously, he's not. You can stop with the demonizing.
So it's ok for Donald to demonize women, Hispanics and Muslims, but if I call him a fascist I've gone too far. Got it.....
You and the media can say anything you want but it doesn't deter supporters, in fact it strengthens their resolve to support him.

What his candidacy shows us and spotlights for better or worse is their are a lot of scorned white folks that might not vocalize their anger in fear of the PC police and Trump seems to have no problem pulling it out of them.

It's going to be difficult to stop Trump with the old GOT'CHA! Because I don't feel a large chunk of his supporters really give a damn if Trump offends people because THEY THEMSELVES are OFFENDED by folks like you and I. People have been accusing me of Trump support and all I am doing is showing where he is making connections. People who hate Trump cannot seem to acknowledge that he is striking a nerve or pulse for a lot of Americans.

Talk about 2 guys on opposite ends of the spectrum. Not sure I could actually bring myself to vote for either one, and yet, they're both better options than Hillary.
Someone with ZERO political experience is a better option than a former Secretary of State and US Senator?

Political affiliations aside, this is simply not possible.

Ever see an NFL team use the #1 overall pick on a player that didn't play football in high school or college?

Sounds crazy, doesn't it.
 Dumbest comparison evah.

The problem IS politicians, so sure, why not vote for someone without key political experience?

No, I'm not a Trump supporter but feel that the problem is that all career politicians are the problem.
Sorry, but "politicians are bad, so anyone who isn't a politician must be good" is not a valid reason to vote for someone IMO.

One thing you'll never hear a Trump supporter talk about is........policy.
The thread isn't asking about who we're voting for, skippy....

Trump would win easily in an election. Trump is abrasive to some but everyone knows who he is, a lot of the country has no idea who Bernie is.
:lmao:
This race will never happen but if it did I can assure, will not go 70/30 in the cozy confines of the Liberal FFA.

Bernie Sanders is not much different in terms of support then say Ralph Nader.

Hats off to you for supporting your guy, respect your right to support whoever you want. I just don't feel like Sanders could beat anyone in a National Election.
That's a ridiculous assertion.

could you give examples

Bernie is nuts. Where exactly does he plan on getting all this money for free tuition & to raise minimum wage?

I'm all for a shake up, but free college, healthcare, social security, welfare, etc... It would be the "land of the free" alright...

Where the hell is all this money going to come from? You would have to tax the top earners like 60% or more.

Unless there was a major shake up in tuition cost, medical services, & insurance cost (which i do think all need to be changed) then I don't see how it's even possible.

I love how the budget becomes a zero sum game when discussing the other guy's proposals.

Well - a big part of Bernie's plan is to go to single-payer, and use that leverage to reduce the costs of medical services and drug costs - essentially spending less wealth on healthcare than the current system that is enriching pharmaceuticals and insurance companies.

Just as the national polls suggest, this isn't even remotely close. It looks like Bernie is the anti-establishment candidate of choice.

Don't you ever get tired of being so incredibly wrong?

Everybody needs shtick they can call their own. At least he respects the value of brevity in his undying quest for wrongness.

I kind of wish these 2 would somehow become the candidates. Sanders has zero chance and that's why everyone is supporting him. Trump actually might make it out of the primaries.

You all think Sanders is going to get past Hilary? This is nothing but mental masturbation.

Seriously? How is this even a choice? It's like asking who you'd rather have as POTUS, MLK Jr. or Elmer Fudd.

he wants another title.

Which one is least likely to succeed in implementing their policies?
I'd guess trump. But I don't think the establishment would really want to work with either one. It's hard for them to keep control if the American people see someone other than a dem or gop succeeding

Which one is least likely to succeed in implementing their policies?
I voted for Sanders based on more or less this reasoning.

Also, Sanders seems like a decent enough fellow. If we're going to have a president who's hell-bent on moving the country in a direction I really don't like, I'd prefer that it be somebody who I at least personally respect and who is highly likely to fail.

Sanders will also respect the Bill of Rights, I think.

Bernie I feel like is the only one who even knows what accountability is, let alone has any.
Trump would destroy the country, leave office and tell everyone he did a terrific job. He doesn't care because he'll have his billions no matter what happens - worst case for him is he'll move to a mansion in a different country.

Also, Bernie's plan for making college free is to create a financial transactions tax.

Pretty sure all of the polling done over the last 15 years of this board has shown that it's pretty split evenly down the middle.

Bernie winning 2:1 shows how left this place is.
It's only slightly more skewed to the left in comparison to the most recent Quinnipiac poll.

According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University on Tuesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) destroys Republican candidate Donald Trump in a general election by 13 percentage points. In this new poll, Sanders has 51 percent to Trump's 38 percent. If this margin held in a general election, Democrats would almost certainly regain control of the United States Senate and very possibly the House of Representatives.

Hyperbole .

Besides the SCOTUS appointments it doesn't matter who the president is. I think Bernie is a nut but if he was ever to be elected president I wouldn't be worried about everything else besides the appointments

Jackhammer to the sternum?

Chainsaw to the crotch?
