I’ve asked my friend who did a list for the Zep countdown if he wants to do a list for this one. He’s obsessed with the Beatles to a degree that Krista might blush at. We were in high school when the Beatles albums came out on CD. He took the train to and from school — we went to an independent school that drew from all over the Philly area. On at least one occasion, he used his train money to buy the Beatles CD on the day it came out, then cajoled someone into driving him home. 

ETA: He also owned Press to Play on vinyl, cassette and CD. Three copies of Press to Play!

Unfortunately he said he has no time to do this because he is swamped with his new record store. "My 'free' time is gone. Freedom to not think about the shop, gone."

Very busy with work today and didn't post my daily Beatles history item.  I'm going to go in a different direction here and post something I think it notable from their early career.  The Beatles were not overnight sensations, but incredibly hardworking musicians.  January 26, 1962 is a great example of this.  On that date, they performed not only two separate shows at their mainstay, the Cavern Club in Liverpool, but also a third show across the Mersey at the Tower Hall in New Brighton.  Ahhhh, to be young...

I’ll say this - I don’t know where it will eventually end up but I’ve played the #### out of I’ve Just Seen a Face.  I’m wasting time - probably listened to it 15 times in the last few days.

I have 4 if I'm including Strawberry Fields. I did have 5, but I bumped one off due to feeling I had too much John overall, and wanting to spread the love with songs I liked equally.  I bumped another John song off sorta for the same reason, but I may have kept it on, but I had to sacrifice a song for another.

Just for MMT. It's all but canon now in its LP form, and it lets Past Masters tie up the rest.

I'm not down to 25 and I may have some mistakes in the album column of my spreadsheet but I still have 8 singles and I expect to keep maybe half that number so would be right with you.

I had 5. I had nothing from albums earlier than Rubber Soul, but 4 of my 5 singles were pre-Rubber Soul.
