Since joining the league in 1960, the Patriots have played all of their regular season home games in the Commonwealth of Massachussetts except for one. Where did they play their only home game in another state? Bonus points if you know why.

I thought there was a game in Hartford CT or Providence RI due to the unavailability of their usual stadium, but I was wrong.

Did the reason for the one home game out of state have something to do with the QB they were facing?

Ahh, it was to test the market in case they moved after the AFL/NFL merger. There was also a conflict with a game scheduled for Fenway.
