I was trying to move him the first 2 weeks. Now he's all of a sudden in demand in my league. Even after this Karlos news I'm hanging onto McCoy. Everything runs through the RB position in this offense without Sammy. Tyrod hasn't looked sharp and they don't have any other viable WRs that strike fear into opposing defenses. I picked up Karlos, but more so as a precaution and trade bait as it's difficult to rely on someone who gets so few touches on a per game basis. McCoy has looked great this year, even in the red zone. I don't think the team should mess with something that is working right now. He's really their only red zone threat right now.
And if Karlos signs (he hasn't signed yet), he still has to be in shape. He was overweight in the off-season. So assuming he lost the weight and he signs, he still needs to be in game shape. That means a couple of weeks before he's full fledged ready to go. And then we won't even know his role. Did he really take over in the red zone every time, or was it just when they rode McCoy down the field and gave him a breather? The defense was tired out and fresh legs, big guy like Karlos stampedes in for a score. I don't think this is necessarily a bad sign for McCoy. He may lose some TDs and some touches, but I'm willing to sacrifice some points to keep him healthy and productive all year. He's no good to anybody if he's out hurt or playing through lingering injuries like he was last year.
