Limas Sweed? (1 Viewer)

So what's the story with Limas? He has been inactive for the first two weeks and had a (minor) knee injury as of August 26th.

Any word from people watching this situation? When can we expect his rookie debut? (hopefully not in year 2).

"It is day to day," head coach Mike Tomlin said of what Sweed faces to pull on a uniform on a Sunday. "He has to continue to get better. When we get there, I will let him know and I will let you guys know."

"It is really nothing that is complex at this point. We are trying to win games. We are putting the best players that we feel at this point would help us win on the field. It just happens that at this point, Dallas Baker is better right now."

This was Tomlin at last Tuesday's press conference:

I would temper your expectations for this year. Without looking, I would say PIT #3 WR would typically get about 60 targets for the year...Sweed is the #5WR right now in Pittsburgh.

Limas looked good early in camp, but failed to impress during the preseason games. Wouldn't expect much at all from him this year.

Bad case of the drops thoughout camp and pre-season. Real bad.

Dallas Baker is the #4 over Sweed. That's how bad it was.

I am still optimistic, but he is completely unprepared to contribute in the near future.
