It's really not even related to that from where I'm sitting. What a lot of people are ignoring is that both guys are playing behind improved front fours. Less trash gets through, less opportunity, etc.
Wagner's also playing for a defense that is really limiting the chances for opposing offenses. I haven't checked recently, but I believe through the first 3 or 4 weeks he was among the worst in the league, if not
the worst, at MLB for tackle opportunities. The Seahawks have been playing with leads a lot too. More throwing usually = less chances for stops for the LBs, even the 3-down guys.
Not sure what The Keke's whole deal is, other than those two rookie DTs are probably stealing some of his shine. Either by getting the stops themselves, or by having teams trying to avoid the middle of the line, thus avoiding The Keke "by proxy." Total speculation there though. Haven't looked into tackle opps, etc. for Carolina.
