Many Peyton owners to be eliminated from the playoffs this week (1 Viewer)

I have been claiming the broncos want to run pretty much all year and have been consistently wrong. I think that's wrong again this week. Recent press conferences from Fox and Gase sound like they are tired and frustrated of the whole "Manning in cold weather" meme, and they want to put that to bed. I'm quite sure Manning is tired of being asked about it.

Broncos have had the opportunity to practice outdoors in bitter cold all week and so they will be prepared for it, and fully understand any limitations Manning may or may not have. Reports from yesterday indicate Manning looked "tremendous", and wind is more of a concern than cold. (note: current game-time forecast calls for 6 mph wind).

I think everyone is expecting the Broncos to shut down the passing game and run Moreno into the ground (again); frankly I expect them to do the opposite. There may not be lots of downfield passing in this game, but there is no reason Manning can't thrive throwing within 10 yards of the LoS.
50 pass attempts vs 21 rush attempts thru 3 quarters. :coffee:

yeah they are throwing it like crazy in the cold

Peyton Manning has been awful when the Temp is under 32 degrees

3 & 7, more Ints than tds and avg just over 200 yds per game.

The temp in Denver Sunday is going to be 16 degrees with a wind chill of 1 and a good chance of snow.

Titans are also a top 3 pass defense.

It was a nice ride ... but it is coming to a chilly end

Ten and the under
If this was some sort of jinx attempt, please start a new thread about Calvin Johnson for next week.

I was waiting for this to pop back up. Put the OP in a barrel and just bash him, huh? It's funny how when people make bold statements and they DO hold up, 50 guys don't bump these threads to say "thanks OP, you were right." Its all about making ourselves feel better than the brave man around here.

Stop being so serious.

Take a good look at the thread title. Was this guy bringing some good cheer, where we should have all patted him on the back if he were right? Nah... he was only basically telling everyone to sit the highest-scoring player in fantasy football this year, and he would have bathed in the glory of everyone else's misery if he got it right.

Go be a white knight somewhere else.

So did the guy in the league you are playing against this week bench Peyton? If so good work!

Did someone break their Gronky today? Lighten up, Francis. The guy was wrong and some of you jumped on this like a hobo on a hotdog. Bully for you. Probably better he WAS wrong. I don't think some of you could have withstood it.

If you are cleverly inquiring as to whether I'm a Gronk owner, the answer is no.

You authored a dumb post and I pointed it out for you.

They don't have to. Anybody who starts a thread like is guaranteed to bump it themselves if their prediction does hold up. It is usually all about self-promotion.

No sir. You perceived what you thought you perceived and you were wrong. There was a moment of doubt lingering in there but then you began typing and removed all doubt.

Just because you see something different than I do, you are compelled to get snarky about it? You didn't like what the OP said and you assumed he was going to "bath in his glory and other people's misery"? A little heavy and presumptuous, don't you think?

What I said was the truth: the guy had a thought..posted it...and the mouse traps sprung the. Invite he was wrong. That's the truth and that's how it is around here, unfortunately, and there's about 10,000 threads that support that.

So much for "be excellent to each other"

For many people that is true, but not always. Some people remain humble.

In general, people who start threads to make bold statements are not being humble when they do that. So typically if they are right, they continue to not be humble.

I am not saying that to be mean. It just kind of is what it is.

I don't think you're gonna get through to him. Best to just let it go.

It's like you're psychic.

So... how many manning owners got knocked off? Maybe the sheli manning owners, but I didn't see any Peyton owners lose this week...

When did I say to bench Peyton manning? You'd have to be a fool to bench the highest scoring player in fantasy football this week.

Now next week on the other hand ...

So..... the point of the thread was to simply point out that it's cold, so Manning may have a bad game?

Keep up the great work.

What happens next week? What should the Manning owners do then? I'm sure everyone who posted in this thread is dying to know.

Please start a new thread on how manning will struggle against the mighty chargers def at home in favorable weather. I need 4-5 tds from peyton this week and I think your posts really help
