Really, you got a 4* from 50 crystals, that is way better than the drop rate. There are what, 30 4* characters now that you can get in the crystal, so you would need 60k crystals assuming a 1/200 drop rate.

If you really wanted a Gwen, take those 1000 units you just spent and grind the arena for 3 days, come up 1m short and then quit the game.

I watched a YouTube video the other day of a guy opening 1000 crystals. Obviously a lot of that was quest/free/daily crystals, but it was well over 100 PHCs, a few hundred arena crystals, and a few 3 and 4*s. Dude made out with a crap ton of units and gold from arena crystals. Only got one 4* from PHCs though iirc

When I first got it setup I was getting a notice for every chat message, my pocket was buzzing non stop. Once I figure out how to turn off the notices for the main chat it is much better.

Would be very helpful if we had everyone in, just send a quick PM when someones buff is clear. I know I will do AQ, get to a buff and then go do arena or quests for a while and not check in for a few hours. If my buff got cleared 5 minutes after I left I would not know. With the PM, it just pops up a quick notice. I have had it go off when I was in the middle of a fight and does not screw up the fight.

Ultron is so annoying. Used a revive and level 3 team health, only took like 600 health from him combined between my 3 guys. Tried to dash back and time my attacks and he would block and counter right away, or he would come out swinging and wipe the floor with me. Used just a basic revive and was able to get in like a 15 hit combo before I slipped up and he got me.

Almost saved up enough units to get parry, hopefully that helps at least get the first hits in.

Tip: don't bother healing. One combo/special and you are toast regardless

With parry you'll still take some damage so it may not be great if you're real low on health. And definitely work on the timing before trying it on ultron.

You don't take much. I can get 3-4 parrys in with no issue.

I don't go below 1500 anymore. Happend to be before whilst my team was 4000+. Or Kabam changed something, or it scales with your overall PI?

I think it is based on base PI, not counting masteries. Could be wrong about that, but I have heard people say if they go below 4500 they run into 5/50s, but I can stay right over 4000 and be fine.

I always do that. They don't block during a combo, so when i throw a special i have a 95% change it comes through.

Maybe my version of the game is just different here. Lately I've gone back to throwing my special after the 4th hit of a combo and it doesn't land nearly 95% of the time. Maybe 50% if that. Usually it's:

Four hit combo, tap special, the lights go dim to start my special animation, opponent throws up a block, I get countered and K.O.'d.

I'm literally tapping the special button repeatedly during the 4th combo hit so I will throw it ASAP. The way my opponent is able to throw up a block after the lights go dim for my special makes me think it's not a timing issue on my part.

What hero(es) are you having trouble landing specials with?

For heroes with quick, close range specials, I still use it after the 4th attack and it always lands. And I'm talking you have to hit it quick, just a split second after your 4th light attack. Sometimes I accidentally hit it the special first before the 4th attack, and it will get blocked.

For heroes with slow or long range specials (storm is a good example), MJs technique is good. Back up, then when they dash in, hit the special just before they hit you. Same timing as if you were hitting block for parry or dash for evade- just hit special instead.

The problem with guys like him, BP, storm, etc, is they do that stupid move before the special and the opponent has a chance to block. Someone like gamora, colossus, etc is smoother and flows right into the combo. With cap I can land a 5 hit combo and go right into either special from there.

Well, I've parried it playing against him. But I always land my L1 special with him now. You'd just be another one of my conquests.

So last night I played through the new map up til the second to last guy before they closed it again. It started me back over and left my energy drained still so I submitted a ticket. This was the response I got today:

Haha, blame it on the device, not the game servers crashing. Same exact thing happened to me last AQ (except it was just once) and it coincided with the servers going down.

It's like the 3* ones, they have to be duped. Further on in map 4 there will be awakening stones though.
