Yeah, I only own her as a 2* where she's probably quadruple/quintuple duped. She's a bad a$$. Just not among my faves as a character.

Totally fine with landing her. Any champ with a chance at a stun is okay by me(except Black effing Bolt. Totally ridiculous character concept. Have never liked him, or really any of the Inhumans outside of Lockjaw. I would totally take a week off work to make sure I landed a couple 4* Lockjaws in an arena. :) )

Ok Sammy keep rubbing it in that you pulled back to back 4* widows from PHCs you jerk! I'm still envious of that to this day lol.

Was lucky enough to land the cats needed to rank up my new 4* Widow already. Worth holding off for rank up event?

Itchy to get an actual 4* arena team. Need to get her caught up to Spidey while I knock down the last few credits needed to hopefully get that third 4*.

There hasn't been much discussion one way or the other in rankups for a while. Most of us have been doing them for the most part. I personally don't have an issue with you doing it, doubt we have enough saved up to make any dents on a 3 or 7 day event. Worth discussing though.

I've got a couple ready to roll that I'm saving for the next 1 day. We'd have to hold off for a long time to accumulate enough to go big in a multi-day rank event, I think.

 
Do we have any idea when the next one day rank up event is supposed to be?

Also, along the same "do we or don't we" lines...are we back to hoarding all crystals?

According to the 34471 website, 3 day rank up push starts today, dupe day tomorrow. Obviously they're not always right, but they do a lot of work to follow patterns so it's probably more of an educated guess than we'll find anywhere else.

I thought the 1 day rank usually followed the level up 1 day. Hopeful that will be the case, I can rank my SIM maybe to 3. Nice to get another class upgraded.

7 day crystal event is still going on so I say keep opening all until that ends, then we start the hoarding all over again.

3 day rank up event starting today.

 
A lot of changes I see. Any point in being in an alliance if I can only play an hr a day, or is it still a longer grind to make a difference.

For the most part that'd still help out if you help by holding crystals and rankups and all for those events. Any participation in alliance quests would also help.

 
I think we can expect 4* arena cutoffs to be a little lower when there is a Catalyst Clash Basic running at the same time. Like this past weekend, about 2500 players put 1.1 million+ points in to it.

. Yeah that makes sense. But wouldn't that also mean less people qualifying in 4* arena, thus making the group receiving 4* smaller and essentially keeping cutoff similar?
 
No I bet they still play for the milestones. The number of ranked players has been steady around 55k. The number that go for the 4* reward vs. just milestones fluctuates.

 
I stil have zero shot at the 4* arenas, and likely won't until I have one team of maxed 4s....and then it will require me plowing every credit I accumulate into it.

Geezuz...when I put it down in writing that sounds awful. I'm starting to think maybe it's time for another break. :)

The new percentage format changes it up quite a bit. 4* rewards used to be untraceable, not it's doable, though still obviously takes some grinding and units.

I believe the qualifiers was 54k first time, 57k 2nd, and 60k this past time. So it's actually growing quite quickly as people learn that they can earn a 4 star eventually as long as they just get the 200k each time.

I intentionally stopped just past the 200k mark this last one, 205k. I was ranked 55755.

I've gotten 2 from PHCs. First one was from opening just one. Last one was from opening like 55. The first one was also immediately opening my first 4* crystal. Odd timing.

 
Against my better judgment, I went ahead and tried Liquid Courage, which is the one with the constant poison effect. Also already had Willpower, the 1.5% regen one.

So, being poisoned cuts your regeneration to 1/3 of what it normally is. The constant regen from the constant poison was only enough to cancel out the poison pretty much. My 4* Daredevil regens 51 points and poisons out 49 each tick.

But, I get the +30% damage and also get 1% armor out of it. I notice I do take things down faster now. Though to get to Liquid Courage requires one that makes me lose health when I do a Special. So far it killed my once, in an Alliance Quest I tried to get off a Special right before dying and doing so killed me off. Also sucks a bit if you make it through an AQ without even being hit, only to use a special and drop 5% health.

Nope, doesn't affect them.

Also, for my 4* 3/30s it resulted in about a 300 or so point jump in hero ratings. That's from adding the 3 on offense (Glass Cannon, Liquid Courage and whatever is between them). I already had Willpower. And I dropped a bit of health, perfect block and the resist heavy block break ones to free up the points.

I don't have the health regen ones that give you an extra 15% of health gained. Doing so would probably not be worth it with poison reducing everything to 1/3 of normal. Plus it costs 6 stoney cores to unlock. Yeesh.

Is will power (1st level) worth it? Still not sure it i'll go for willpower. Have 7 masteries left and looks tempting but don't know if just 1 level has any use, compared to the price it costs.

 
Eh. If you're not going to go for Liquid Courage or Double Edge, it's only mildly useful. Someone like Scarlet Witch or Yellow Jacket it can be nice against since they can stack a lot of negatives on you. Many fights you'll go through without ever getting a negative effect though.

And at least as far as Liquid Courage went, it's so freaking expensive to get. Now I've had a taste of it, if they offered me the credits back to get rid of it, I'd take them up on it. Actually the worst thing about it is the health loss from Recoil for using a Special. Hawkeye used to be great because of his energy drain keeping people from getting red specials on you, but now you'll lose health using it so I'm finding myself wanting to not use Specials much.
