I have a handful of 3* that I stopped leveling around 1300-1400 to get more teams for endless, so it works for them as I slowly finish them off.
Finally got a 9th 4* last night with YJ from a phc shard. Just need to get all the stupid l2 class cats for these guys. When you repeat the same class it burns through any extras you built up.

Big fan of Yellow Jacket. Wish I could trade my Antman for him. Stupid Antman. 
Not complaing at all, but I've been so lucky pulling 4*'s the last two months that I am perpetually low on gold and basic cats now. Starting to run out of tier 2 class cats as well, needing 3 to get to rank 2 will deplete pretty quickly.
Strangly enough, I only have duped one guy (Wolvie) and that was months ago.

A variety of questions as I get back into this:
1) Are the events quests just a limited time only quest similar to the old Ultron ones? Should I be focusing on those or the story events, that gives out better prizes?
2) Is the noob bracket still a thing? Am I going to have a decent chance at 4* in the arenas for the first 30 days?
3) Any new or changes to the daily events or anything else I need to know, i.e. sitting on certain items or crystals, although for the first 30 days I need to basically open everything to get enough guys to work the arenas.
4) I'll worry about the alliance quests once I have a competent team I assume?

Its happened to me multiple times in the past week.
I'd trade you some for some tier 4 cats though.

1. Yes. I'd recommend doing as much of them as you can. Great source of gold, ISO and shards. Don't think the venom quests will be around too much longer. 2. Yes it is, and I'd definitely recommend grinding as much as you can now to win 4* from arenas. The veteran bracket is crazier than ever, with some champs requiring 8 million +, and over 3 million for the basic champ.
3. Main thing now is a 7 day cycle of Summoner Advancement. Gives points for opening crystals, leveling, ranking, dupes, etc. The target for that is 165k as an alliance and we usually hit it with a few hours to spare. That's the only situation where I'd ask that you hold everything until the next one starts so we don't waste points.
ETA: 4. Yeah, at the very least 3 maxed or close to maxed 3*. Even with that you'll struggle against some of those guys. However you can still help by joining and clearing paths for people that have no energy left.

Yeah, last one I got was a Daredevil from the special crystal we got from when we saved crystals for a month and then placed 5th in whatever event that was. That was 3-4 months ago now?
I'm sure I'm not opening near as many PHCs as any of you guys that are doing arenas and getting them from milestones or whatever. The only PHCs I get these days are shards from alliance events and a handful from story quests. But it's still kind of frustrating to see others opening 4*s from PHC every day.

Yea, I estimate that I open at least 20 PHCs per week between the arena milestones/rewards and alliance events. Last 4* I got was Daredevil from a spiderbite crystal back when they released Black Widow.

I don't care what kabam says, I don't think the drops are random because the disparity from person to person with 4* drops (from PHCs) is so high. I think I've gotten close to 8 4*/4* dupes from PHCs (and the free mutant crystal we got). The majority of those have come in the past 2 months or so. Not trying to brag, I just don't understand how some of us pull a good amount and others only get them from 4* crystals.

Well, when those MMX guys exploited the mercenary crystal glitch, that one guy pulled 24 4* from 4443 crystals. That is 1 4* per 185 crystals. Given that sample size, I am guessing the rate is probably 1/200, so my bad streak is not completely unreasonable. Back in the beginning I pumped 100% of my units into PHCs so I estimate that I opened a lot more than I currently do. At this point I care less about new champs and more about ranking the ones I have.

Do you spend any money on the game? Hulk seems to pull tons from PHCs, so my theory is players that spend little to no $ get worse drop rates so that they will quit and stop clogging up Kabams servers

Yeah, wondering if that's it as well. I dropped real $$ during the summer when I got impatient and bought some 4* crystals. Haven't spent any since shards came around though. Between shards and PHC drops I am up to 21 4*'s now. More than half I added since Labor Day.(HULK) said:

Overall I'd estimate that I spent around $70-80 on the game. I have 13 4*, 4 of which are duped and now 2 at 4/40. Counting dupes as another 4* pull, that puts me at 17, and probably about 8 or 9 of those were from actual 4* or 4* shard crystals. On a more unpleasant note, we didn't even crack top 500 and didn't get any 4* shards for this AQ. Overall really disappointing. We did mostly map 2 and still got awful participation and some real crappy scores from some people. I don't understand, that map is really pretty simple. I know it's a little different when you have hulk and strange duped at 4/40, and other duped 4*s to choose from, but how do people lose all three guys and only have like 12k points? Something has to give here, that was our best source of 4* shards

Like I said in the chat, and I think this goes for everyone - if you want to play this game at all, it's a no brainer to make AQ your first priority. If you look at the top alliances, they all say right on their general message: 'AQ is our #1 focus'. Easiest rewards in the game.
So yeah, I don't understand the guys who only check in once or twice during the 24 period. Usually if someone hasn't joined at all, it's something personal that can of course be excused (see Dickies). But if you're consistently not giving your best effort in AQ, you probably shouldn't be in an alliance at all.

I got Rocket as a 4* out of PHC's and later Hulkbuster around then. Just last week Electro dropped for me. It's a high number for sure, partly inflated by no dupes at all so far, keep getting new ones from my sharts or PHC drops.

Furthermore we couldn't possibly be more understanding of people having things going on in real life. The issue is people should at least give us a heads up ahead of time. Some people are good with that, others not so much. Obviously situations arise like with dickies which are unexpected and that's fine. Maybe we need to keep map 3 as a map for people that can't/won't be around as much to maximize one and two. Just a thought.

It is pretty tough, really hit or miss. I think we're getting to the point that we will have to draw a line.
One thing that really annoyed me was yoshi's comment that "no one is even trying to recruit." I constantly do, and a number of you have helped at various times which I greatly appreciate. If he's so concerned he can try as well.

We scored almost 8M points though, how does that compare with a few weeks ago before we started doing Map 3 regularily? Wondering if the secret is out and even more "new" alliances were formed.

I think a little over 7 million got us the 500 sharts before.
It makes sense, as more people get more 4*s and ranking them, point cutoffs are going to be higher, same as the regular arenas.

We've also improved our teams with new characters, rankups, masteries, etc. the only change other than losing woot and casa is participation has definitely dropped.

Reddit and kabam forums are getting worse and worse with people complaining about these 4+ million alliances intentionally dropping down. Hopefully kabam eventually addresses this. There's still no reason why we shouldn't at least crack top 500.

Just a warning, my participation will probably drop a little with Fallout 4 coming. I'll still be checking in mornings and later in the evenings, but middle evening I'll probably be battling death claws.
