Um, the news. Forget what channel since I'm a channel surfer.Who is they? Not doubting you but that's just kinda silly. Curious who is misreporting that stuff.

The problem is these people aren't just in venues like concert, clubs and such- but malls, theatres--- everywhere there are children as well. The only answer imo is to make it illegal to purchase at least the AK that can be tweaked to become an AK automatic like this dude did. And to have a national database on who has what that is kept up with. Someone showing up with so much arsenol and guns should be looked at. I don't get why they can't do that. We're not taking away anyone's guns. I mean well, how many do you need, seriously?? Each semi automatic and other military style guns should be registered into a federal database with the owner. I don't see any other way to try and limit the casualties. It won't stop them as those who want to die will do it regardless but perhaps more people can be profiled and watched closer to decrease the # of incidents? I don't know. I don't see the appeal of guns other than maybe one for protection if you live in a not so good neighbourhood but that's about it for me. sighI heard a police representative on the radio this morning say that the only way you beat a sniper is with another sniper.
The future for events such as this means police snipers on rooftops and in helicopters. Sounds expensive, but now needed.
As in every one of these cases it seems, when a non military trained shooter gets going you get far less accurate after the first clip. The nerves and adrenaline fog your entire brain.Um. as sad as it is to say, it was probably minimal casualties considering his vantage point and arsenal. :( He was spraying into a densely packed crowd and I'm sure did the most damage in those initial minutes while it was packed. In the initial moments it would have been luck if he missed someone. :( Once the crowed dispersed fewer people were wounded or killed. He wasn't aiming at specific targets. Only masses of people.
I've had a bit of four roses so I'm a bit slow, care to share thoughts here? I can't see a reason unless he booked the room and couldn't get his guns in or something in time?Other notes:
He rented at the Ogden through Airbnb during the Life is Beautiful concern. Sheriff didn't speculate as to why (I think we have a good idea)
Sheriff also believes he didn't act alone for this whole process.
Right, it seems reasonable to think that was his original target and something in his plan didn't work out as expected. The sheriff isn't going to suggest that without some kind of evidence.I've had a bit of four roses so I'm a bit slow, care to share thoughts here? Sorry, was he using some kind of explosive round, or was he a moron?
Wasn’t thinking how, my point was that they were on his target list and the increased damage it could’ve done. How?
I don't know. He had ~20 guns, explosives in his cars, planned a location where he at least tried to shoot up giant containers of aviation fuel, and wanted to escape. Who knows what all this guy really thought he could destroy?Sorry, was he using some kind of explosive round, or was he a moron?
I heard that the "hall" camera set up was basically him ordering room service in the day--pushing the room service cart outside his door--and setting up a small cam on that cart to get a view down the hall. It wasn't like he actually mounted cameras on brackets or tapped into the hotels surveillance from my understanding.I'm trying to follow this event/thread from overseas with limited internet access. So if this has already been answered, please point me in the right direction.
What was the deal with the cameras he set up? Did he mount them in the hall himself or tap into the hotel's cameras? If hall mounted, do they know when that happened? The purpose of the cameras were to alert him when someone was approaching. Did he wire them into his tv like a cctv setup?
May be echo or sounds of richochetJust came across this video, from in front of the stage while he was firing, clearly sounds like 2 guns firing at the same time. Is that acoustics just playing a trick? Doesn't show anything happening other than people running and screaming but watch at your own risk if it bothers you.

He also had a camera in the peep hole to keep a check on the hall activity.I heard that the "hall" camera set up was basically him ordering room service in the day--pushing the room service cart outside his door--and setting up a small cam on that cart to get a view down the hall. i read that he was pretty jealous of her ex-husband. she was married and working as a hostess in a casino when she met Paddock.girlfriend releases statement through her lawyer
tl;dr = He brought her a plane ticket home to visit family, then while she was there wired her the money for her to buy a home for herself and her family. She thought it was his way of breaking up with her. She voluntarily flew back to the US in order to cooperate with the FBI and LVPD on their investigation.
Your neighbor either frequents 4chan or /r/The_Donald.eh uh, so my neighbor who is a pretty bright lady by all accounts just went on a facebook tirade about the shooting and how it is all one big conspiracy ... ”The LVMPD knows the motive behind the attack, but the FBI will not allow us to release the motive because it implicates the FBI in illegal arms deals and supplying arms to ISIS terrorists within US borders.
Stephen Paddock was an undercover FBI agent who participated in multiple illegal arms deals in the Las Vegas area in a gun running entrapment scheme similar to Fast and Furious. Paddock thought he was engaging in another routine arms transfer, but ISIS operatives who were going to meet him learned about the entrapment scheme and Paddock's true identity. They killed him and carried out the massacre, and then fled the scene. Leland Yee has a lot to do with this.
Everything is being kept under extreme wraps because 1) armed ISIS terrorists are still at large and 2) this is very embarrassing to the FBI and they don't want their scheme to become public knowledge.
I will be sending you further information throughout the day, people within LVMPD are disgusted and are pushing for this information to be released to the public."
oh and then posts pics of him dead from shooting himself in the head. Dunno where she got pics or info.
She left the message with STAY WOKE!
Man I just don't picture an out of shape 64 accountant going full Rambo and being anywhere as close to as accurate as he was.May be echo or sounds of richochet
or he fired two guns at once.
How accurate do you have to be shooting into a concert crowd?Man I just don't picture an out of shape 64 accountant going full Rambo and being anywhere as close to as accurate as he was.
This guy is the anti stereotype. He's the first old rich white guy to ever flip out like in this. No motive makes it worse. The conspiracy theories write themselves.Man I just don't picture an out of shape 64 accountant going full Rambo and being anywhere as close to as accurate as he was.
Wait, why do you think he was accurate?Man I just don't picture an out of shape 64 accountant going full Rambo and being anywhere as close to as accurate as he was.
More likely he shot on accident imoWasn’t thinking how, my point was that they were on his target list and the increased damage it could’ve done.
With what he had it easily could have been 500+ killed. Saw tonight that experts were thinking that with him being a amateur that the guns were jamming. That is why the delays. I am sure he had them all set up and ready to go non-stop. Horrific but it could have been much worse with the arsenals he had.Um. as sad as it is to say, it was probably minimal casualties considering his vantage point and arsenal. :( He was spraying into a densely packed crowd and I'm sure did the most damage in those initial minutes while it was packed. At 300+ yards? What kind of experience did he have as a shooter? He wasn't accurate at all. If he had fired semi auto and actually aimed he would have killed hundreds, not 58
I don't think we know the answer to that. An arguably reasonable speculation would be that he had lots.At 300+ yards? What kind of experience did he have as a shooter?
Doesn't really matter firing into a crowd that hit the deck hearing gunshots. Should have gotten off 200 rounds in the first 3 minutes easy firing semi-auto essentially into wall-to-wall people. He shot for 15.At 300+ yards? What kind of experience did he have as a shooter?
I don't think so. What he did in terms of his shooting was basically Rambo movie type point and pull. He probably practice that only a few times because if your go practice full auto you run the risk of someone calling the local sheriff. Unless the guy has access to an indoor private range where no one ask questions.I don't think we know the answer to that. An arguably reasonable speculation would be that he had lots.
Dude is now the record holder for most kills In one sittingI don't think so. What he did in terms of his shooting was basically Rambo movie type point and pull. He probably practice that only a few times because if your go practice full auto you run the risk of someone calling the local sheriff. Unless the guy has access to an indoor private range where no one ask questions.
I think he was pretty rookie in his shooting and that saved a lot of people from dying
Sounds like the bullets hitting and the gun sound in the distance.Just came across this video, from in front of the stage while he was firing, clearly sounds like 2 guns firing at the same time. In the sheriff's press conference last night he said that the cameras were used for monitoring the hallways and door but were not recording.I read that he recorded the entire event inside the room, and he may have left a note. It seems like it would be unusual for a mass murderer to hide his motive, so I'm guessing that he left something behind for the cops to find. Who knows if/when we'll find out.
Good question, they must have some evidence for them to say that. My wild a** theory is that since his car was parked valet with explosives, maybe he called valet to have his car ready, and was planning on escaping the room and then blowing up the car in front of the hotel. So they said he had plans to survive the attack and escape. How exactly was he supposed to get away and hide? Weren't all the guns in the hotel registered to him?
Brain tumor. If there is a conspiracy being covered up here, why would they cover it up with an explanation that has so many unanswered questions. If what this guy did required so much more experience and intelligence than what he had, then why the #### are those supposed experienced and intelligent conspiratist so bad at leaving behind a cover up story with a motive? I mean hell, America accepted the story that Hinkley did it because he was in love with Jodie Foster for crying out loud. America will buy pretty much anything. If there was a conspiracy being covered up here, then there'd be a motive for America to buy, even a F###### dumb one. I'd be more likely to buy a conspiracy theory if we were being spoon fed a story that answers all the questions.
Possible echo as well.Sounds like the bullets hitting and the gun sound in the distance.
I find this hard to believe that this was his prioirity target.
