Supposedly he is day-to-day. Even if he sits out this week, should he be picked up for the playoffs? He plays some tough run defenses in Weeks 15/16, so Houston will be forced to pass. Any thoughts?

i have seen nothing to indicate he might play this week. it would be pretty great if he did. mnf against a team he's done well against. nice.

ain't happening.

On a serious note, the texans week 15 & 16 (Ten, @Oak) matchups are not good matrchups for QB's.

He will play again soon, though I doubt it's this week. He'd be on IR if the team didn't think he's gonna play again this year.

I kept him rostered when I picked up Sage just to keep another team from nabbing him for the playoff run. I have Sage starting this week, I'll just swap Schaub in if he somehow gets the start.

I hope this is a red herring of a post.

This would freaking blow as I benched McNabb for fear of him being benched in favor of RosenRosen and this favorable matchup.

Is there any link related to the number of snaps each QB got in practice?

:lmao:

After giving Matt Schaub (knee) 20-30% of the first-team reps Friday, Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Schaub has a "chance" to play on Monday Night Football against the Jaguars."I think there’s a chance...(but) we’ve got to be smart," Kubiak said. "We’ve still got a long way to go between now and Monday, but he’s made some progress." Sage Rosenfels took the majority of the snaps, but isn't a lock to start. This situation needs to be avoided in fantasy unless you can wait and own both QBs. Schaub is listed as questionable on the injury report. Nov. 28 - 5:48 pm et

he took some of the reps in practice on friday and is lobbying to play...but even if he does, it's likely it would only be in a backup role. and that's a big if.

but given that he's taking reps in practice now, the odds that he regains the starting qb position by week 15 is reasonably high -- as long as he doesn't hurt his knee again.

It's pretty much become a theme this year on any injury with a projected 4+ week recovery time, that the very first report that "Player X could play this weekend" generally signals the fact that he's 2 weeks away.

This is gamesmanship by Kubiak, nothing more.

Barring an injury to Rosenfels, Matt Schaub is not playing Monday.
