Maybe the earth is flat (1 Viewer)

Kind of like that little plastic triangle they put in the middle of a pizza.
You think someone just thought that thing up out of the blue to keep our cheese off the lid?  That #### is based on the whole world, yo.

Out at sea you can see an aircraft carrier (with bionoculers) coming up over the curve of the earth, you see the mast then the.............

Not that anyone really thinks the earth is flat.

my sister just broke up with a guy who's a flat-earther.  she thought he was just BSing but after about 4-5 dates realized he was being sincere.  he also thought cell towers are laser weapons.

For a short while, I enjoyed going to those sites and reading all the craziness.  It was very entertaining.  But after about a week of reading that stuff, it was no longer funny because I realized these people are serious.  And they vote.  And procreate.  It went from very funny to very scary.

RIP, you crazy SOB.  Although the motivation was questionable and the outcome seemed predictable, you got to admire his determination.

A tribute to Mike posted on The Flat Earth Society web site today...

Today, the Flat Earth movement has lost a dear friend.

Michael Hughes - inventor, daredevil, and a self-proclaimed madman, has taken one final leap into the sky in a self-constructed steam-powered rocket as part of a Science Channel series he was to star in. He lost his life in a tragic accident

A Guiness World Record holder for the longest limousine ramp jump, Mike never shied away from controversy and danger. It coursed through his veins. His bold, outspoken attitude will be greatly missed by all.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in these trying times. It is my hope that Mike has found whatever it was he was looking for in this crazy world.

Godspeed, Michael, you glorious *******.

I think I read somewhere that he likely was dead before the landing so if that's true he probably didn't (likely killed at launch)
What would he have died from prior to impact?  The G force?
