I've seen pretty decent reviews about that. "McDonalds Lobster" doesn't sound very enticing, but I guess it's actually not bad.Has anyone in the New England area had the lobster roll? On the menu for a limited time for $7.99.
So not even McDonalds can screw up lobster, mayo, and a roll?I've seen pretty decent reviews about that. "McDonalds Lobster" doesn't sound very enticing, but I guess it's actually not bad.Has anyone in the New England area had the lobster roll? On the menu for a limited time for $7.99.
That's until they figure out how to squeeze an extra nickel profit from fine grinding the shells and adding that to the preformed lobster shaped meat.Give them time.So not even McDonalds can screw up lobster, mayo, and a roll?I've seen pretty decent reviews about that. I'd say this is a BIT of an overreaction. Still a massive company.Poor bastards are trying anything...
But it's not going to stop this sinking ship until they blow it up and start over like Jack in the Box did.
No one trusts this "food" anymore..
They experimented with and modified the ingredients so much for so long that it just can't be trusted.
Can any of you get that pink slime image out of your head? Honestly...that's something that sticks for generations.
Heads gotta roll...they gotta close hundreds of "restaurants" and just start over from scratch with real ingredients.
That's the only shot they have.
The epitome of corporate America and end result of Gordon Gekko.Poor bastards are trying anything...

YESSSSS!!!!! IN IN IN IN!!I have not stepped foot inside a McDonalds after 11 a.m. since a bout of epic diarrhea in 2002.how about all-day breakfast?
seems like a pretty smart move, IMO
I think you're my opposite.that's funny I mostly like McD's for their lunch/dinner options. if I'm eating fast food for breakfast it's definitely going to be Chick-fil-A
If I need fast food breakfast I go with Burger King, never eat lunch or dinner there.Rick James said:that's funny I mostly like McD's for their lunch/dinner options. if I'm eating fast food for breakfast it's definitely going to be Chick-fil-A
He has a point. In my partying days, I would have killed people for the chance at a sausage mcmuffin at 3am.
Here, we've had an overnight lunch/breakfast hybrid menu for several years. In my partying days, I would have killed people for the chance at a sausage mcmuffin at 3am.
Dude, I can't even remember the amount of times we would try to go to McD's while drunk in college and get breakfast. If this was 10 years ago, I'd be stoked. In my partying days, I would have killed people for the chance at a sausage mcmuffin at 3am.
I'm guessing they have marketing and a nationwide presence, because I've never heard of that place.I've noticed AM/PM has replaced McDonalds for the fast food people.
AM/PM has a tiny kitchen in the back. They whip up stacks of sausage / ham croissants, sausage / ham muffins, hot dogs, and burgers. They throw them into foil wrappers and stick them in a self-serve warmer. They charge $1-$2 per item. They can't keep them stocked fast enough. People grab them out of there, pay for their gas, and are gone in under a minute.
I'm not sure what McDonalds has to offer to compete with that.
heard on the radio that some locations might have to remove certain menu items to make room for the all-day breakfast needs in the kitchen, but they didn't allude to what might be removed, so that may have just been referring to some of the branches that have special 'regional' menu itemsI worked at McDonald's in my younger days (admittedly a little bit ago) and we had to changeover everything in the kitchen when we transitioned from breakfast to lunch/dinner. I wonder how they'll manage to make everything all day?
The article I read said they would be purchasing different equipment such as additional toasters and a rolling cart for eggs to keep them separated.heard on the radio that some locations might have to remove certain menu items to make room for the all-day breakfast needs in the kitchen, but they didn't allude to what might be removed, so that may have just been referring to some of the branches that have special 'regional' menu itemsI worked at McDonald's in my younger days (admittedly a little bit ago) and we had to changeover everything in the kitchen when we transitioned from breakfast to lunch/dinner. How can we McDonald's chefs expect to continue to put out our perfect, delicious, and healthy food in such an environment?East Coast Bias said:The article I read said they would be purchasing different equipment such as additional toasters and a rolling cart for eggs to keep them separated.Nathan R. it will be interesting to see what the all-day breakfast movement does to their lunch/dinner item salesYou got the wrong thing. So I grabbed a McD's breakfast simply because I can't believe the fervor it's created in this thread.
I haven't had it in so many years I can't remember what it's about...so you've piqued my interest.
I grab the Egg, Bacon & Cheese Biscuit combo with orange juice.
I eat the hashbrown first. It's thicker than I remember...it's nothing special but it's not bad.
I bit into the biscuit and the egg is that poured from a box type of egg. It's a folded over egg pancake. The bacon was surprising...basically it wasn't so thin I could see through it (I'm looking at your Jack in the Box). The cheese is that horrible melted American "cheese"...which we all know isn't even cheese. The biscuit is OK...nothing special.
I wash it all down with my orange juice...decent OJ.
I'm seriously scratching my head over the excitement that this will be available all day/night.
Who gives a flying crap?
Is there a different item I should be trying or are you guys simply reminiscing and remembering when you were teens/young adults without taste buds?
Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical of this plan.So additional equipment requirements for store owners
Potential of additional shrinkage costs due to keeping additional menu items ready for sale
Catering to slackers who sleep in late
Risk of cannibalizing sales of other menu items
Sounds like a plan![]()
They don't fry them anymore? What do they do bake them?Revert to fried apple pies.
Profit.
