McNabb (1 Viewer)

I thought it was kind of weird, kind of dumb, and a little funny.

Had it been some player I already didn't like, though, I would have reacted about like the OP did.

Harmless. It wasn't the most sportsmanlike thing of all time, but compared to the stuff we see every week in the NFL, it was completely harmless.

Jerkweed move.

Should have been disqualified and the Eagles should have been punished with an automatic forfeit. That kind of bushleague stuff just shouldn't be done by a QB.

Harmless? The guy's team is up by two scores, on the road ... and instead of having a third and one, WITH THE CLOCK RUNNING, he takes a fifteen yard penalty, STOPS THE CLOCK, and makes it third and SIXTEEN.He's an absolute j_agg-off.Next time a race baiting buffoon like Deion Sanders tries to insinuate that it's a racial thing in regards to McNabb not being afforded the love/respect that Brady and Peyton are given, look no further than this POS manuever by McNabb.Could you imagine either of those guys being that effing stupid?McNabb's a proven winner ... operates in a tough market ... and is a gifted player ....But the guy is dumb as a sock full of wooden nickels.

McNabb knows that was a bush league move, he said as much after the game. Do I wish he hadn't done that? Yeah. But at the end of the day it was that same passion and hatred for the Giants that led to the win, so I'll take it.

Am I the only one who was LOLing?
I was definitely lolling with ya :yes:To the OP: seriously?
I'm not spazzing out over it. Just saying...I have always hated McNabb
Well there you go.
I'm not hiding the fact I don't like him. His gay sideline celebrations, the moon walk, "next question", picking up the phone. Oh and the fact that he has no heart and barfed in the biggest game of his career. Then denied it.

Well as much I as I hate him, I'll give him credit for admitting it.

it looked simply whimsical. dude was in the zone and on top of the world. that sort of endorphin high will make you do stupid things like that. it was kinda dumb, and he was penalized. definitely not bad sportmanship or anything like that. i'm sure it's the least of the Giants' concerns right now.

No doubt it was a stupid move, McNabb admitted as much after the game and regretted doing it. Any time you get your team a 15 yard penalty, you are putting yourself ahead of your team.

I figure it was a spur of the moment thing (i.e. not premeditated in the least), and it's certainly easy to understand McNabb's elation at winning the game after the stuff he's put up with this year - and it's not like he's known for doing that kind of stuff.

So I'm not defending it in the least... just saying that I mostly give him a pass on this one, and generally I can't stand show-off, look at me type players and actions.

Holy crap some people are freaking sensitive.

I'm sorry, did I offend you guys by typing out the word "crap"?

The Cowboys/Giants/Redskins/whoever you're bitter about being out of the playoffs lost. Get over it and quit being such a crybaby.

He has heart. It's the same reason he led the Eagles to the position they're in (with help from the DEF), and the same reason he picked up the phone. Same reason he always has a smile on his face, dances on the sidelines and enjoys the game, almost no matter what is going on in the game. Some guys show it with seriousness, some show it with more fun. McNabb has fun with it and he's in ANOTHER NFCCG. Eli/Romo/etc are more serious. They're at home. :shrug:How can you fault McNabb for loving the game, having fun with it, and when the game is really going his way, showing it off loud/proud.

McNabb himself has said it wasn't the right thing to do.

Again, I'm record as saying he shouldn't have done it; and he said as much after the game. That said, considering Gilbride was cracking a smile over it and he was right there, does it really make sense for fans to bemoan this much?

For those of you that think it is really funny, why?

For those that think it is a mortal sin and poor sportsmanship, why?

It just seemed like a really stupid thing.

And McNabb's reaction after the game was pretty ridiculous, "As a veteran, I was just trying to have a little fun." So it is ok as a veteran to do something that stupid but not as a rookie? I dont get it.

It's got to be the hangover and the lack of sleep but I don't even get the joke. Can someone help this idiot out?

Ok, so again, what happened?
McNabb got run OB on the Giant's sideline. While there he coincidentally slowed down by the Giants phone. He then picked the phone up for about a second and set it back down. Was flagged for 15 yds for unsportsmanlike conduct.
