**Miami at Buffalo** (-7, 43.5) Sat 8:15 Kickoff (1 Viewer)

7 point spread and 43.5 total. I'd give the points given the weather and the recent performance of Tua and the offense.
I recently read that Tua struggles when the temperature dips, too.

Not sure that’s a verifiable trend, but it was a legit sports writer opining on the twitters.

At least for part of his pro career this is what I’ve found:
The Dolphins are 0-2 with Tagovalioa as the signal caller in past cold weather games against the Bills. Tagovalioa completed 56 of 97 passes for 556 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions in those two past games.

Maybe good to take the bills to cover.

Pretty small sample size, but Tua is 0-3 in games where the temp at kickoff was below 50 degrees. They are also the games of his 3 lowest QBRs in his career.

2 games in his career under 40° were his worst of his career. Not much to make a trend but the way he and the dolphins have been trying to convince themselves the cold isn't going to affect them, you know it's already affected them.

That, and the last 2 games in good weather haven’t been much to write home about either. The 49ers broke him.

I heard Tua crack a joke that it snows in Alabama
Saw that. I chortled.

I still like the bills to cover & the under tho. ;)

This should be a primo shootout but instead it’s all about the weather

How much snow they getting this afternoon, five inches? Will it be fine done snowing by kickoff? I suppose lake effect so who knows.

Not currently snowing here....have about 6-8" from last night. Key is no wind. They keep that field clean and things should be fine. Now granted, we have many hours between now and then.

In the afternoon leading up to kick off, perhaps about 1/4 inch per hour on the radar, might increase more as the game rolls around but I don't see anything forecast more than a few inches
The wind is expected to be on the lighter side, 10 mph, I'm sure there will be gusts.
Usually snow means it isn't sub zero freezing temperatures, 30 degrees at kick off
Miami brought a penguin along, they should be fine

Also like U43 for this game.

Feels like a 24-13 kinda game.
I like the under also.
The last couple snow games in Buffalo:

13-7 OT win versus Indy in 2017 - very heavy snow.

20-27 loss versus Steelers, L Bell in his prime ran for over 200 and 3TDs - lighter snow than is expected today

I think the forecast is for snow in between what these games had. I think the key is that it is going to be actively snowing for the entire game.

I don’t think either team had a running game that is going to tear it up so there should be a lot of punts, or at a minimum if there are scoring drives they will be long and eat clock.

He’s never even played in a game under freezing.

Note an important word….COULD get that much snow.

Still, I am thinking of a fun bet on an alternate total. Under 29.5 is +630. Going to check in on that closer to game time.

It seems like the big variable is whether the band of snow is trending more to the North of the stadium.

The super-under

+650?

That is fun.

Christian Wilkins 9th/126-PFF will try and be a force inside, he's no Aaron Donald but he is fast and makes a lot of tackles for a DL
The rest of the front 5-6-7 that will be coming after Josh Allen...

Jaelan Phillips 8th/121-PFF
Andrew Van Ginkel 33/121
Melvin Ingrahm 37/121
Bradley Chubb 49/121, and Miami traded a lot for him, was very quiet so far on this road trip

Jerome Baker 16/78-PFF
Riley and Roberts are you other MLB that drop back sometimes, very middle fo the pack ratings on them. I don't want to see #45 chasing down receivers from behind tonight.

Howard and Holland have had down years, would be nice to see them unleashed tonight with some errant throws due to a steady and fierce pass rush.
Weather obviously favors the home team

Cole Beasley could legit be a huge factor tonight. Those quick short routes over the middle that he excels at are exactly what would seem to work great in this weather in the passing game.

It's coming down pretty good here right now. If the stadium is anything like this, it'll definitely have a big impact on the game.

No snow pouring down at the moment
Field looked pretty clear
weather channel has winds for the game around 10 mph.
decent chance all the hullabaloo is for naught.
My online weather map is showing lots of lake effect snow and winds 10-12. But, I, like you noticed the field is clear when reporting at halftime of the CLE BAL game. Keep looking lol. Tua is on my bench for now. Gotta play Bass.
