1. I listen to The Weeknd a lot. A lot a lot. I am not surprised how popular he is.
2. Yeah, rock is dead. We've been over this.
3. I have no clue about the TikTokers except Ice Spice

My quick thought is that I think Beato is right about AI and its overall impact. AI artists becoming popular in the music industry is way down on my list of things AI that I'm worried about. Not that concerned about it right now.

I mean he’s got 16 Grammy nominations. He’s won song of the year and album of the year. I don’t much care for his music but he’s like the male version of Taylor Swift. He’s got a large passionate fan base that really supports him.

He’s smart about who he collaborates with too. Hits a diverse audience with people like Bieber, Cardi B, Camilla Cabello and even Swift herself. But yeah his music feels very geared towards people between the ages of 16-30.

Just opened up my Spotify 2023 Unwrapped. The top 5 artists/groups that I've listened to this year:

1 - Taylor Swift
2 - Dave Matthews Band
3 - Wu-Tang Clan
4 - Snoop Dogg
5 - Method Man

Last year, DMB was tops. But, this year, my 12 yr old daughter started using my account.
