MixTape Draft - 6+ word titles. Finish your draft and listen to mixes! (3 Viewers)

I didn't bump the thread much, and I didn't send anyone a link to it. I hated asking for donations, but it was an important thing to me, and so I sucked it up and did it. There were some feral cat haters that chimed in, but I figured that might happen. Thanks for offering...You're just three years too late.   Seriously though, thanks for offer.
Well it sounds like you're still sinking cash into the effort and facing new challenges so the offer stands

@Mr. Ected, actually.

Hey, thanks for doing the sheet. That's a remarkable task.
No Problem. Being a Mr. Mom it's not a bad thing to retain practice with spreadsheets and stuff. That's part of why I am playing around with the DB. :bag: :nerd:

Anyone know of an easy way to put an MS Access DB online so that anyone can get on it?

3.23: girl, you'll be a woman soon - Neil Diamond

4.01: (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher - Jackie Wilson

4.02 - Pearl Jam, Elderly Woman Behind a Counter in a Small Town

I'm trying not to duplicate too many songs from previous drafts but this song fits perfectly in my projected play list and in the draft format.

I'll post the link in a few.

@Mr. Ected
I would have taken this if I remembered. My favorite PJ tune.

The second song I thought of when joining the draft. Love it.

the first being a grunge band, about a farmer having his revenge

Think I'm on the clock, so this is easy.

3.21 - Deftones - Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)

From the three hiccup inhalation to the release, the notes are only 17 1/4 beats away from Chino's vocals.

Yeah. This is my jam. Rock it.
Man, I used to be such a big fan of these guys. I touched Chino's foot at one of the concerts I went to!! It was a small venue in NYC, Roseland Ballroom i believe.

Thanks for bringing me back RA.

So is this a 21 word title or a 1 one title??

I'll throw it back, just for ease.

4.04 - The Great American Going Out Of Business Sale - Dillinger Four - Midwestern Songs Of The Americas

Sorry, KP. Was just trying to break the song title record.  Never bad to plug a band you love. And this is a mix, after all.

packed a lot into 2 min & 7 sec :headbang:

Sorry, peeps, I was spacing it today.  I thought we would get farther into Rd 4 today and we would just have to top it off tonight.  Here is what we will do:

1.  Still go in order w/ timer until 9pm est to try to get a little bit more of Rd 4 done.

2.  After that anybody that owes their 4th can post tonight as we get drunk and talk about fantasy baseball.

3.  Anytime Saturday we can post our 5th round pick

4.  Anytime Sunday we can post our 6th round pick.

5.  We will start with round 7 on Monday morning

Jerry ate his tuna with the antibiotic crushed in it tonight. While I was out there he tried to pee three times, and I went to feel around if anything was newly wet, and I felt nothing.   :(  I guess we'll see what happens. Hopefully he isn't blocked, and just has the sensation of having to pee. I took a few pics of the surroundings, and I'll post them shortly. The sun was a big glare in my eyes, so I couldn't see what was in my picture frame on my phone, and I just pointed and clicked.

Well, this doesn't seem to have gone anywhere.  I guess we will just do a free for all for the rest of round 4 starting in 45 mins.  Maybe lesson learned for next Friday and cut off a little earlier in the day if we are nearing the end of a round?

...not good.  As you probably know, cats typically get hit with the kidneys.  Hope the little guy is ok.

I have a love/hate relationship with our rescue cat.  She was very non-touchy for the first couple of years.  Now at year 9, she likes to rub against you and wants you to rub her ...then bites, even with the slightest touch.

Then #####es when she doesn't get her treats when she feels the need to have her treats.  She will trip you or come up and rub her your face ...and then chomp you on the nose.

Superdickjerkcat.  But we still love her.

Jerry is a tub. Fat as can be. The Vegas guy would feed him all sorts of stuff all the time, and there wasn't anything I could do about it. You're right about the kidneys. I emailed the vet about not feeling any wetness, but haven't heard back. Earlier today she said if his demeanor was normal and he was eating, he probably isn't blocked, and the antibiotics would help the infection. His demeanor is normal, and he is eating, but he keeps trying to pee, and i don't think anything is happening. I guess I'll see if he takes a turn for the worse, which sucks. She gave me 10 pills, and he gets a pill twice a day. I usually am never there during the day, but I was today. Hopefully I can get him to come out early tomorrow morning. I have to be at an Eagle Scout ceremony for my nephew tomorrow at 11.

It's gone fine. It's unpredictable when people will be around.

This is what I see directly across from the cat shack. It is a side view of part of the back of the welding place aka Owensbys. picture  Another view showing pop-up

This is what I see if I look behind where I just entered. It is the main rd. The building on the left is a pizza shop, convenience store, and liquor store. Owensbys is on the right.  picture

This is another view of Owensbys from the side.   Another pic of the side of Owensbys. There is a cat at the right end of the jet ski, and she looks like she is wearing a batman mask. I call her batgirl. The other side of the building has lots of garages, buildings, old cars, vans, boats, trailers, etc.

This is what I see ahead when I park beside the cat shack. It is a dead end.  The lumber building on the for sale property.   Further behind the lumber building is land, and then a fence, an behind that railroad tracks. To the left behind the woods is a cemetery. If I turn to the right there is a group of trees and brush between the lumber property and storage units. There is path the storage maintenance guy mows for the cats. I have the fort and a few houses along this area.

This is made of wood, nails, and a tarp on top of the wood to keep it dry. This is the fort. There are two big ### rocks in the center of this thing that I couldn't move. Here are a few houses. It is hard to really get an idea of what they look like. I couldn't see what I was taking with the sun going down in my eyes. The barrels.  In the summer when the leaves arrive, you can't see  the houses or barrels at all.

Here are some early birds. Today I wrote down how many cats I know for sure are still out there, and it is 27. I've spotted a mysterious white cat three times in the last month. It runs when it sees me. I don't know if it is a dump off or what. I pray it is a male. If it keeps coming around, I'll eventually have to try and trap it, but it has to form a pattern for me to do that. Anyway, behind the cat shack is a retention pond. It has goldfish in it. For the first time ever, I found a beheaded goldfish on the slab of cement where the cats eat two weeks ago. Someone went fishing. The owner of the storage units lives in Durham, and only comes to that site once a month. The storage unit manager didn't care that Owensbys put the cat shack on their property, and I hope the owner of the storage place won't mind. If he does, it can be moved. This concludes the colony gallery.

I'm liking this draft...I consider two songs for the odd number rounds and select one.  Then when my turn comes up again on the even numbered round, the other song is still there.

Seriously though, I am trying to create a solid base of classics before I make a right turn into some obscurities that I've dug up.  Not my favorite song by these lads, but that one doesn't fit this format. And this song describes this format pretty good, so let's add it into my mix.

4.xx - The Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want

I am starting to think that Jerry just has a case of stagefright.  Some dude's don't like to pee with people around.  ;)

My wife is a vet and echoed the same thing - if he is acting normal he is not blocked yet, so that's good.  He would be howling, vomiting, etc.. so the pills should help.  She also said any extra liquid he can get in him is great water of course, but even tuna juice or chicken broth.  (your vet probably told you all this, I just thought I would ask her too).

Also since it's a similar stance, she asked if he could be constipated instead?

Considered that one at the start of the draft too.  Great pick!

Sounds like a lot of cats that I have.  I think think that's why I gravitate to cats more - I want to be left alone most of the time too.

One of my favorite cats growing up was a grumpy Persian my parents rescued for me.  The thing was psycho, but she still came in and slept in my room at night.  Not sure if she thought it was catnip or what, but anytime I would have some gum lying around she would find it, roll in it, and then tear the ever living #### out of it.  Just shredded bits of paper and gum all over.

I don't know if he is constipated. I'll ask him tomorrow if he is full of ####.  ;)  He is low squatting so he seems more like he is trying to pee.
