I will keep it to 20 for the draft, but people are always free to post others that weren't drafted or add bonus songs onto their Spotify mixes. 

I am starting to come around to @Eephus' thinking about these drafts.  We started them with the idea of fitting them onto a tape/CD and we used to be more time-constrained.  Now we are just doing # of tracks, and with 20+ drafters it is hard to listen to 2 hour mixes for each drafter who posts a mix.   We start to get closer to 25 songs, and we are pushing the 2 hour mark.   I do wonder if we should think about going back to the time constraint since it's easy to do as you enter your mix on Spotify - it tells you how long it is on the top.  We could have some mixes with 10 songs and some JML mixes with 35 songs.

this one doesn't quite fit my mix, but when I threw it into my playlist with all the others, its one of the main ones I can't stop listening to. I had only been listening to the cover by Nuyorican Soul (which is a bit more current/dancey and less early 70s freaky-funky) as that was my first exposure back when I first heard it on the radio when it was released. going with the original here, which I've only just pulled out because of this draft (never heard the original before).

oh- looking at my lineup, that Magnetic Fields pick was schtick because of the snow-day. I made my actual Gil Scott-Heron pick "home is where the hatred is" right afterwards.

A bit of a sneaky pick since it's a B side to So Watcha Want and for some reason only made the deluxe version of Check Your Head. It's a great tune and I've seen them do it in concert a couple times so I think it was a live favorite of theirs. It's listed in a few places without the first The, but the official version has 6 words.

There are a ton of songs drafted (including a bunch on my list) that only get to 6 words with the parentheses. My understanding is the Remix and Live additions weren't counted because they weren't part of the song title. The other stuff we've been taking with parentheses is part of the official title and should count.

Oops.  My bad.  Blame it on the 12 hours of drinking yesterday.  

You can toss it back.  If someone else wants it, there's a few other Dylan tunes I can take.  No worries.

These guys songs hold up ...like really hold up.  Perfect pop.  Doesn't hurt that Difford & Tillbrook write very Beatlesque stuff and Tillbrook can sing the #### out of anything.  Also didn't hurt that the golden-throated Paul Carrack sang "Tempted" either.

I agree (Remix) and (Live) don't count.  Other parenthetical additions do count, though items listed as "Part I", "Part II", etc. only count as 1 word.
