I think my playlist is pretty snipe proof this time around (my first draft has a couple songs that people might have heard of but if I can, I may weed them out for a playlist of awesomeness that is pretty much brand new to everyone).

 
I'm going to be more mainstream for this draft. A lot more rock and less jazz. I got the scope out ready to snipe.

Nice. Being 1st and on the turn helps me out since I'll still be camping Monday. Any chance I can make my first pick this Friday morning?

Also, I'm still debating going a few different directions so the sniping might not be as bad this time.  With you and Weasel right before me though, I have a feeling I'll see a bunch of stuff I want taken right in front of my turn each round.

Is there any reason we couldn't start when you're ready?  Understanding that a few people won't be available so we wouldn't make it far but at least you'd pick.

Damn- i never get a draft spot this good when it's for football or baseball. Not really knowing how you guys draft makes it hard to figure out which of my top choices has the best chance to be there for my 2nd pick.

I have taught almost every subject at some point.  So I have 4 roles in my school. I teach a history class, manage a special ed caseload, help students with disabilities in algebra and chemistry and work with  teachers to help them use technology in class. 

Teaching is fun IMO, great job but like you said, patience is essential.

I just noticed that you are also from the detroit area- do you teach in the city or the 'burbs? I work in the city just down the street from King.

 
I actually started looking into some themes last night and this is a lot harder than I originally thought

I guess an option is to start soon, but not have a timer on until Monday.  I know people said that they wouldn't be able to do this until Monday, so it might stall out after 4-5 picks, but Yo Mama would get his pick in.  OR if people don't like that, Mama can just PM me his pick too and I can post it on Monday.

That would work for me because Sunday morning we will be driving out to Indiana to visit Notre Dame with my son. The tour is on Monday so I will not be around and then will be driving all day on Tuesday back to NJ.

 
As always, people can feel free to PM me some picks.  Even if it's a list of 5-6 songs if you are busy or traveling.  I am damn near always hovering around, and I think it's supposed to be dropping back into the 40s next week, so we won't be running around outside for long stretches. 

 
IMO, start whenever. No clock, no bicthing about people not making picks. If we get in three, great. If people pop in and pick, even better

I have very fond memories of going to Cape May, NJ every summer with my best friend in high school. Her family moved to NC from NJ while she was in elementary school, but they kept a summer home in Cape May. After my friend graduated college, her dad got transferred back to NJ, and he would eventually retire and her parents have permanently lived in Cape May for the last 20+ years. It has been a long time since I have been there, but I hope to go back one day.

I know it's often the butt of jokes, but I love where I live. It's actually a very diverse state: beaches, farmland, forests, mountains, wealth, cool cities, small towns.... I've surely been to better places, but I'm content.

ETA: Plus I'm a 40 minute drive to NYC, which is nice.

I really have no earthly idea how to pull this off, long title draft seemed 1000x easier

My dad grew up outside of philly and his uncle had a place on the beach in Cape May. I got to visit once, it was a great time. Anyone know how that area is doing today?

OK - I have 0 issues with us starting early, but just like Acer said, no clock and no #####ing about people not picking.  We might get 3 picks in by Monday, we might get 2 rounds.  Just @ the next person that is up (I will get the draft order on the 1st page now...)

I was one who wanted to postpone but my travel plans changed and I'm just going to be sitting around a hospital room with my mom for 12 hours a day for the next week or so.

So I'm up for starting at any time.
