I had no idea until I read the random shots that this wasn't an every week occurence.

I'm crushed!!!

I'm a night owl and loved having football on well past midnight here in the central time zone.

You must be single without children.

Guilty. And actually I don't follow football all that much. I'm convinced watching it gives me unfair biases against players who are bad at football but good fantasy options. :)

well then let me recommend getting more than one TV and emulating Raidernation's basement setup. If not well wives and kids want to watch TV too and...just do it! do it now! hurry! :D

I heard that both games had very good ratings - based on that, I'd have to think we'll see some more double games in the future. They'll probably have a couple more next year. I think it's a good idea, and it works well as long as it's done with one game on the east coast / one game on the west coast.

Yeah I thought it was better in EST than normal MNF. I mean, worst case scenario you only watch the first game, but it's done by 10:30! I got through halftime of the 2nd game before I fell asleep, but hey, better than one game only that doesn't finish until after midnight.

Thank god it wasn't a regular thing. That sucked for us in the EST time zone.
How so, Grigs?J
Well the game ended at like 1:30 EST.
It's one more game than most of us would have had a chance to see otherwise.I have been clamoring for this setup for years! Give both coasts a game! If you can catch the other half then you are ahead of the game!I really think this is a major reason for why the ratings fell for MNF over the past 10 years. So many people have such busy lives that they can't get to see the game like they could in the past. That, coupled with the fact there were a lot of blowouts and dud games in the last few years.I loved it and want it every week!

Not Grigs, but this is an open question. The game is way too late for anyone who has a life - yes, I know I just insulted many of the people here :o What I mean is that people who work and then spend the rest of their waking ours scouring for football updates  Even with Tivo it is just too late to have games end after 1 am. I am for running things at the same time because anyone who doesn't have at least 2 TV's in the same room isn't a true sports fan. I have 4 in the same room and occasionally I have to bring a 5th in (especially around the end of baseball season). I used to listen to WFAN out of NY and the sports announcers are saying things like I was bouncing back and forth between X and Y and I say to myself this is your livelihood and you don't have 2 TV's in the same room...neopyhytes!

Ticket down? I loved the double header. But being a East Coast Bolt fan means I missed a few hours work cause I was up unitl 2:00 am. Timing is an issue, and that's the only issue I have

Nope, I'm a Colt's season ticket holder. Therefore, I cannot justify the cost of the Ticket for only half of the games.

That's exactly it. I have to get up for work early, which I assume most do, and staying up until 2 is just not an option. (Unless the Bills were playing.)I don't even like the 9 o'clock starts.
