What is the Bengals plan for Tee Higgins?
They franchise tagged him and he still walks at the end of the season
Why does Cincinnati not pay their players fairly the way other teams treat their star players?
All the big name WRs seem to get more money in the last 2 years
The Bengals are not unaware of the market, they just come across short sighted and cheap time and time again
They could tag him again.
If I were them, I'd give both him and Chase long term deals, and hope a new DC fixes the defense.
Look at how much money the two WRs have missed out on by not getting a long term deal, Higgins would be entering a 3rd season w/o a deal if he were franchise tagged again
And Chase, it's a total joke Waddle was extended and the Bengals couldn't at least get a. 3 yr deal done similarly with Chase but for more money of course, maybe $100M+
They're cheap, I'd cringe if they drafted me coming out of college and I wouldn't ever want to sign there in free agency
The Miami Dolphins no longer interview the best and brightest of coaches, McDaniel was down on their list, they were scoffed at by many
Peyton Manning laughed in Ross' face when Miami wanted to sign manning after Indy
It wears on a. franchise and the fan base after a while
Imagine the amount of the signing bonus and the interest these 2 WRs lose out on every day that passes and it's not done...doesn't matter if they do get a deal at this point, Chase is going to miss out on 12 months, Higgins 24+ months where they could have had a nice bonus in their accounts already, it's lost money they will never recoup
