Monday night football next season (1 Viewer)

Does this mean that next season, those who don't have cable or dish or something other than regular network TV will not be able to get the monday nite games? Or will they go out over regular airwaves too? Seems that could be a pretty good chunk of viewer base would be lost that way if it were indeed true.

Anyone know the story?

The former (bold) is correct. They won't be losing much. Most folks have cable, and if they don't, they're probably not watching the NFL.The real killer for some next year will be the NFL Network carrying 8 games (DAL v. WAS on Thanksgiving). Unless Comcast (??) and others don't hurry up and secure contracts with NFLN, lotsa' folks are gonna' be missing some important late-season games.

I believe that I read somewhere that there will be a provision for regional coverage provided by network television if it is an away game.
