Montee Ball (1 Viewer)

Wanna go out on the lake. .....# Madison
Sounds like a guy that really wants back in the league...
Lol. Stalking his tweets?

What exactly should he be doing right now, in your opinion? Sitting next to a land line 24/7?

He may never play again, I don't know. But it sure is difficult to see how this is relevant in any way.
Working his ### off? Treating it like a job still? Not going to the lake on a Wednesday afternoon...

And no, not stalking his tweets. Searched his name on Twitter based on the Colts rumor, and that's the first think that came up.
he's out of the league now, he probably has moved on, I suggest us FFL players do the same, we are approaching week3 and he isn't on a roster yet.

You guys are missing this. If he's in Madison and wants to take a direct shot to Indianapolis he will have to go over Lake Michigan. So really,Ball is being sneaky and saying he wants to go to Indy

I think he signs on somewhere before the end of the season. Lots of places make sense. I could see him going to Green Bay with Lacy dinged. New England, Indy, Miami, Philly, all have running back issues. Crazy that he was taken 3 picks before Lacy.

Actually Miami would have made sense to me, I can't remember if or when Jay comes back but they picked up Jonas Gray. But even with Gray and Damien Williams he would be a good add there. The offense needs balance and Miller can't handle the load. But it's not going to happen there, it's apparent.

Indy go figure, you would think a team with those needs at RB would sign him, and his resume should rank him above Josh Robinson, Varga and Tipton, but no. Cleveland too, there was nobody after Duke except Draughn but again no they went with Turbin.

How can he expect to get a job when he's going to lakes and such?

Why not just post a video of yourself surrounded by hookers and blow?!?!

Oddly enough I don't see that tweet up anymore.
That was my whole point. Sure the guy can go to the lake after he's put his work in... it's no different than guys going to play golf in spring training after working out all morning. But when CJ Anderson was hurt, every tweet coming out was about how he was going to take it over when he got his shot. How he was grinding. How he was working.

The optics of the situation aren't great for Ball when he's tweeting about wanting to go out on the lake in Madison like he's back in college.

I wonder how many people still have this guy rostered?

I learned my lesson with Beanie Wells. The RB fantasy train moves fast. Too fast to get back on in most cases.

I certainly could be dead wrong but it seems like the number of RBs that get outright cut and not immediately picked up by someone seldom make it back to the point of making an impact.

The truest words in this forum. A dynasty owner holding hope for the likes of Ball, Ray Rice, Bryce Brown, etc are hoping for a miraculous return at a position with an already short shelf life.

Mort just reported on NFL Insiders that Montee Ball is expected to sign with the Bears. Makes sense given it's Gase's offense where Ball was a starter and supposed fantasy darling before getting hurt and subsequently sucking.

Can think of worse ways to use a roster spot, though he may have to wait for a Langford injury to get a shot.

........and easy position to fill where where isn't a whole lot of difference in the talent that's out there.

Pats are one of the more active practice squad teams. Ya never know if they're just looking at someone or actually keeping them.

Rotoworld:

Patriots waived RB Montee Ball.

Ball wasn't believed to be on the roster, but signed a reserve/future contract on Feb. 1. He was arrested on domestic violence charges last Thursday. Largely out of the league last season, the 2013 second-rounder was reportedly overweight on the Patriots' practice squad. It appears Ball's career could already be over. He turns 26 in December.
