Not at all, sometimes the treatment seems harsh to the untrained eye. If you guys love Tim so much why don't you build him his own treehouse and you guys can play chess together and talk about what the color blue smells like while you have a draft of your favorite sex offenders.?
I forget. Can you please remind me which poster you are an alias of? I seem to remember your original identity posting about peacocking.

Congratulations Gentlemen! We have started a fire that will burn down the treehouse of elitism and as we roast our marshmallows over their smoldering ruin let us not forget to remember all those that have succumbed to their nut hanging, knuckle dragging ways. Let us never forget.

VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!!
Don't you owe Tim money? MOP accepts welchers?
Guess so

Wait a minute, I thought I was in charge!!!! :oldunsure:
You left DSP in charge, we all started shooting H and #### got out of hand :kicksrock:
You have to be an alias of someone... Newbies don't just come out of the woodwork posting with the frequency you have been...
Used to post in AC/Shark Pool... Got married, had a kid, & now I have no life :kicksrock:
Cool. First kid? My wife is due with our first in September.

Any ginseng hunters in here?
No but there is supposed to be some of that root around here. Some guy on the news found like $400k worth of that #### near where I live. I think my dogs may have eaten anything I had in the yard though. Isn't that regulated? I know nothing about it.
There's a new reality show about it... Appalachian Outlaws. Sound like its a bit of a free for all but it's worth 700-900$ a lb
You know in Italy they train dogs to hunt for truffles. Gotta think I can turn one of these lazy dogs I have into some sort of ginseng root hound. Wouldn't you think?

Here's the thing about hanging your hat on dislike of Tim because of that one stupid mindset: if it works, great. If it doesn't, you know people think less of you than a pedophile apologist.

I like everyone. MOP, Eminence, DSP, Tim, datonn, BGP, Woz, Master of Orion, all you weirdos. You are what make this place entertaining. I'm actually bummed out that MoO, BGP, and LHUCKS are all gone. I like the outliers.
I so miss BGP, might be my favorite all-time FBG poster besides :shiny: and All your base are belong to Us. LHUCKS was an irritant, I can't believe anyone misses him.
Good call. Beej was a once in a generation type poster. Different kind of crazy

Yup, little boy... Kid is a stud. Changes all of your priorities. He's 14 months and finally sleeping pretty good - Been sleep deprived for the last year! Congrats to you and the wife, it's a lot of work, but a lot of reward.

I don't know what this means.
Only two FBG's on the enemies list, me and Jon Rauch.
Oh yeah. I like you though. You'll be off soon enough. But #### Jon Rauch.

All I want to know is can we be drunk in here?
It's acceptable, but I recommend being drunk in Soulfly's thread where you can pretend to be dramatically interested in him finding three cell phones belonging to his ex gf's father. He's really worked up in the way that gets funny after a half bottle of Scotch or so.
Meh.
Maybe it's just me.
I enjoy the narrative but...I don't know...just seems forced and not good "drinking" material. It's more "bored on a workday" material.

I would think so. A dog can learn to hunt anything with an odor... What kind of dogs?

Terriers. Do varmints hide near ginseng roots? If so I migth be able to do it, otherwise I'll have to get a beagle or something like that. These dogs are small prey driven, that's all they care about (hedgehogs, chipmunks, field mice, etc). Although the one dog does eat pretty much anything in the yard.

Yeah, I have a couple of boston terriers. All they want to do is chase.

Hey dopes who think GMTAN is elitist or whatever. This is basically exactly what it is.

What?

We got so many nice folks who decided to check in here today on opening day of the new place, I know I said I would wait until Monday but perhaps I should just go ahead and kickstart things tonight. Because the reality is many of these rants are not gonna come even close to the Swedish Fish so let's just curb the enthusiasm right now.

But something terrible happened and I don't know that it's really a rant but here is the set up 1st.

When I worked at Whole Foods(someone just jizzed in the back row) I met a really nice guy who was a department leader and had been in the system there for a few years, worked grocery at Publix before WF. He is about 10 years younger than me and he quickly became the younger brother I wished I had. My younger brother by 3.5 years does not speak to me but that's a rant for another time.

So this other guy and I became quick friends, I was new in town and he showed me around. Eventually his weirdo family got to be too much and he moved away to NC, left behind younger brother that unfortunately was much more into me than I was him. My good friend's younger brother is a bad seed, one of those people you just cannot help. You give him a few bucks and he will get in trouble and lie to you about what he did even as you are reading the arrest report.

So after my friend moved, his younger brother by about 3 years wanted to hang out more. I tried to push him away but it didn't help and what is frustrating is I tried to tell him the path he was on would lead to heartache. The path is he sells dope/weed and he isn't shy about it, doesn't hide it very well, he seems to relish in being a punk or a playa if you will. He decides to get married a few weeks ago to a very nice girl but calls me the week before and asks if I can be the best man, small ceremony, 20 people or less, I said OK.

My final words of wisdom for this kid at the after party was get clean, get off selling it, go to bartender school, card dealer school, pick a school but learn a trait and make an honest living and still have fun with it.

"OK MOP, I'm gonna do it you have my word"

3 weeks later...

I get a phone call from his wife telling me he was arrested and $5,000 was confiscated along with a sizable amount of weed. I said what do you want me to do? A few minutes later I get a phone call from his father, we get along real well and he is very aware his son is a bad seed. He asked me if I had some of the arrestee's $$$…I said HUH? He goes on to tell me that his son told him that he gave me money to put away for bail in case this happened. I said when did he tell you that?

He said that his son had told him at the wedding that I was holding some of the $$$…I said well Mr Smith that is a complete and total lie. He said I was afraid you were gonna say that. I went on to say if you want my advice, leave him in the slammer as he is facing 3 counts/felonies as far as I can see and that when he gets out he doesn't have a job, might as well let the state pick up his 3 meals a day for now. Plus he will need every penny he can scrape together to try and find a lawyer because this is not strike 1, not strike 2, but strike 3 and even though his probation ended some time ago, they are gonna come after him with guns blazing, in fact they did.

Well after that I get another phone call from the wife asking if can bail him out…2 charges with intent to sell/dist and another 1 they tacked on, $11,000 bail, I said I can't. I told her to star thinking about the next 50 years not the next 50 days and she started crying. I know I'm harsh but she might as well hear the truth.

This is why I don't like friends, they're always there when they need you. So I'm kind of burnt today and I probably am mildly hostile. This idiot was even dumb enough to tell the cops at the station to tell his wife to call Mr and Mrs MOP for the money to bail him out so for a while last night these family members thought I was lying about having his money

Not sure what the heck is going on round these parts, but I can't sleep and rather enjoyed the studs & duds story and am mildly curious as to what DD's ethnicity actually is.

I have a similar story. One time there was a guy who was a friend d of mine who told me his brother was a drug dealer, and the first time the kid tried to hang out with us, I pulled my friend aside and said, "man, we're friends, but if I see your sleazeball drug dealer brother around again, I'm going to pretend I don't know you. That guy is bad news."

The kid came up to me and asked if I wanted to hang out and I said "when you get arrested I don't want to be in the same zip code."

Then I went to hang out with my actual friends. It's a much shorter story, but it doesn't end with me thinking friends are worthless, but instead affirming that I shouldn't be friends with people who are worthless. Because the only thing they're good for is making me feel better about myself for not being a drug dealing slimeball like them. And I already feel pretty good.

And you know what? That kid did get arrested. And I wasn't in the same zip code. It was like a Hollywood ending.

How about you choose to associate yourself with normal law abiding citizens who don't call you and expect you to pay $11K to bail them out of jail? I don't even know anyone like that.

This reminds me, my younger brother is in Thailand right now and says the whole place is super creepy. He saw tons of old dudes on vacation trying to pick up little boy prostitutes. Said he almost got sick.

I'm getting ready to go to Waffle House for breakfast. What time is lunch being served here? Need to adjust breakfast intake accordingly.

I'm not totally sure, but I think you can get lunch anytime. They serve anything on the menu at any time of day/night.

Which is good, because my go-to at Waffle House is one of the Texas Melts and a large order of hashbrowns (scattered, smothered, and peppered).

I pretty much hate ordering most breakfast type foods. Paying someone to cook up some eggs, sausage/bacon, and toast seems like such a waste of money for something so easily done at home. I view this about the same as ordering a bowl of cereal. I don't eat waffles or pancakes.

Sound advice Henry. The problem for me is I like to dance close to the fire. But I would be lying if I didn't say I felt just a hint of superiority but then I feel guilty about that. This place is what encouraged me to rethink things. Have you seen what I consider to be middle class income in this country? The FFA is the one that encouraged me to get out there and not judge a book by its cover Henry so I try and hang out part of the time with regular people.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 for folks over 30 and then at 2:00 we will have a late brunch for the under 30 hipsters with a live DJ out on the pool deck. PB&J is suspended over the weekends and will resume on Monday.

Yea, my wife stopped working but I still help out...

The first year is supposed to be the cheapest... She nursed so that saves money on formula. My out of pocket for insurance went from $70 a month to $550 a month to cover a family, that is probably the biggest jump - It's pretax money so you don't feel it as bad. The baby doesn't eat anything outside of formula or breast milk for 6 months. If you have a decent sized family, they'll buy you a #### ton of clothes, I don't think I've spent more than $500 on his clothes all year. Outside of that its just recreational stuff that you'll prob have to pay for - my wife is with him all day so she wants do all these baby classes and they're ####### ridiculously expensive. They take a music class which is $350 for 10 sessions and joined the little gym (which is basically a large rubber room with some balls and miniature gymnastics stuff, $250 a ####### moth!!! All in all year wasn't terrible though, supposedly it gets worse every year.

I agree but I hate cleaning up bacon grease unless I have an empty can of coffee or spaghetti jar to pour that stuff into. The smell is wicked in the house as well.

Who on Earth does not like pancakes? My guess is you picture IHOP or something. A well made and perfectly cooked stack of flapjacks is heaven. And a Belgium Waffle was made to fill with butter and syrup, yum yum.

It's not that I won't eat them, I just rarely do.

If they are great, fine, but there really isn't a place around here making great waffles or pancakes, and I don't care enough to make them myself.

That was my guess. I have a place that makes the pancakes so good you don't hardly need any syrup.

Anyone not waking up to a nice slice of cold pizza from the Friday Night delivery is doing it wrong. In fact you can just go ahead and grab a nice bottle of Guinness to wash it down and if you're a real man you'll just bring it right into bed so you can roll back over and get some more sleep.
