I have 4 tix for 7/15 show at Forest Hills Stadiun in Queens that it looks like I can't use. Great seats, Gary Clark Jr. opening.

Anyone inteerested?

They aren't coming too far south this year.  Oh well, probably going back to wsp in St Augustine in Sept.

Going Thursday and have an extra ticket.  Can't give it away.
Still underappreciated and generally speaking unknown.

This past weekend I told a few parents and people that I coach baseball with where I was going just a few hours before we all travel to Ripken in Myrtle Beach and I get blank stares.  Your morning what?  They think I'm nuts.

Enjoy!

So pumped for Friday night!

Anyone want them? Front row lower bowl, sec 901 close to stage, paid $63 will take $40 each. Weather looks great.

@El Floppo ?
thanks gb... we have something going that night, but I'll check with the boss lady.

tbh- I like what I've heard, but for some reason never really dived in to listen more than a song or two. there's likely a bigger fan around who would appreciate these more than me.

Disregard, just unloaded them

Headed to Forest Hills, might head down to MPP.

10 pm curfew at the former, 11 pm at the latter. I think MPP is the only true shot at getting a full blown 2.5 hour jacket set with some gems thrown in (the sets on the most recent leg have been so incredibly Waterfall heavy and short due to curfew - I dig those songs, but I'm greedy and want some of the big classics off of the earlier stuff).

Noticed the same thing. If I don't get Steam Engine and/or Phone Went West I'm a little disappointed. Bummed not to be going to FH, looks like a great venue. The 10pm curfew is a drag though.

They have been starting REALLY early. 6pm for opener.

Excited to see Gary Clark Junior again. Per friends, he's been crushing it. Kinda hope they unleash him during their set, or Broemel straps in with him during his set.

Well informed rumor: 2 night NYE run in Denver. You will get both songs there, guaranteed!

Well, last night in VT they opened with Steam Engine and closed with PWW...great set list in between, heavier on old stuff.

The Cleveland show was my least favorite MMJ show...that marked my 5th.  Still great to see them, and now REALLY looking forward to Columbus since they have always brought it strong there.....but mid first set dragged in Cle, it's the only setlist this tour I've seen go down a path like that.  Thin Line - Wonderful - Golden.  Really not a fan of those bookends, and while I like Wonderful, I've seen it at most/all MMJ and Jim solo shows I've ever been to.

Jacket week....always a great week.  Who's going to CBus?

One of the best shows that I've ever heard or been to was at this very venue 8/12/12....still looking for audio of this.

1. Heartbreakin Man
2. First Light
3. Holdin On to Black Metal
4. X-Mas Curtain
5. What a Wonderful Man
6. Outta My System
7. Circuital
8. Tyrone (Erykah Badu cover)
9. I'm Amazed
10. Phone Went West
11. Gideon
12. Come Closer
13. Carried Away (Carl Broemel song)
14. Lay Low
15. Run Thru
16. Anytime
17. One Big Holiday

Encore:
18. Hopefully (Jim Solo)
19. Wonderful (The Way I Feel)
20. Victory Dance
21. Wordless Chorus
22. Touch Me I'm Going to Scream Pt. 1
23. O Is the One That Is Real
24. Touch Me I'm Going to Scream Pt. 2

Encore 2:
25. Steam Engine

Since this post about a year ago, I did find audio.  It starts at Curtain though.  But I'll take it!

OK, admittedly I suck at this internet-thingy.  MMJ website shows their upcoming dates as 2016.  And Ticketmaster is a no-show, too.  Are they on-tour at the moment?  I'm fiending a bit.  Thanks.

Nothing scheduled.

During the interview portion of the KCRW link last week Jim mentions "full band" October dates to get people out to register to vote.  I think he means his side band though.  Still, something to watch for.

Jim doing solo tour November about a dozen shows.
Really pumped to see Jim with just his acoustic guitar in November.  Should be a pretty great setting at this Cleveland venue he's playing at.  Entire catalog is in play.  Are you making the trip up?

His acoustic set at Newport was great last year.

I am catching the two NYC shows. Probably in for mostly repeat sets, but screw it.

Not currently planning to.
