NBA Fanduel (1 Viewer)

I was able to buy out Metta for Tucker in one lineup and improve Brooks to Evans, who has been pretty good lately.

Took out Kobe and shuffled (and added PJ!):

PG Kyle LowryTOR@HOU $7,000

PG Aaron Brooks MIN@SAC $4,100

SG James Harden TOR@HOU $7,900

SG Paul George IND@LAL $6,600

SF P.J. Tucker PHO@CLE $3,600

SF Chandler Parsons TOR@HOU $7,200

PF Kevin Love MIN@SAC $9,000

PF Thaddeus Young DAL@PHI $6,600

C Anderson Varejao PHO@CLE $7,900

FYI - Kobe Bryant (Flu like symptoms) was not at Tuesday's shoot around. Update to follow.
Uh oh...
I only have him in one of my lineups I posted which should be an easy fix. Question is, how would this change thoughts on Dwight, George, Metta, etc? I don't think we know his status prior to first tip though.Kinda want to enter MORE now...but the news was out early enough and people will be chatting nonstop about Kobe on there that most newly entered lineups will yank him. This was another thing I was thinking about last night. I entered 3 before I went to bed knowing I was going to play a bunch today and didn't really set those lineups, just filled them in with random players...if those people that entered last night actually filled out a legit lineup, they are the one's who will likely be missing out on the news. So maybe it's good to place hold your spot. The flip side is, the hardcores like Condia, MBomb, etc might be the other people entering and they will be hawking this stuff. No adv gained?

I'm sure most of you have heard, but Kobe is now a GTD with flu-like symptoms. He has played through illness in the past, so I am going to gamble that he plays tonight. What is everyone else's take on this?

His history says he'll play, but really how can anyone know? Big difference between a runny-nose/sore throat and being in bed with 103 fever and aches. Both flu-like symptoms lol

yeah bob that line up looks better i am just iffy on tucker doe whats his mins like
Tucker is $3600 for a reason. But with the options at SF tonight, he's a decent value. Some of the guys in the 5k-6k range have the potential to throw up a single digit point night. At least if Tucker does, he only cost you 3600.

lol funny thought do u guys think we should like have a private place to chat and make up lineups cause i see guest viewing ect i don like that

That's how you become great man... hang your balls out there!

my only hesitation on Varejao is that this will be 4 games in 5 days. I'm afraid he's due for a sub par game. (See vs. DAL on 11/17)

Most of us that post lineups are only playing in 50/50's. I don't see the harm, especially since they are usually filled by the time a lineup is posted. If you are posting your super secret GPP lineup than that's your own doing. You probably want to hold off til after tip and just chat values.

I'd be with you...except we're talking about Phoenix tonight (pretty soft interior) and the Cavs are back at home. Anyone can blow up your lineup any night. I think there are far riskier plays even for his dollar figure. Cousins, Pekovic, Hibbert...blech tonight IMO. Dwight might be the wildcard if Kobe doesn't play or struggles. I'm probably going to miss out on that unless I go Love-less in one.

Just in a bunch of 50/50's and think this is a solid lineup to cash. Really wanted Varejao but decided against it with Jonas at a bargain

I have 8 different lineups in the GPPs...I feel since there is a small schedule tonight, it is better to diversify multiple lineups in the big tourney's. I have a couple that that still have Kobe in, just in case he plays...if he does not, I still have 5 lineups going in the tourney.

I have a few foundation players, and then am rotating players in/out at each position in hopes that one lineup hits it big (as long as my cornerstones produce). :banned:

Hopefully PJ Tucker goes big tonight (20+ pts), it will be the best value of the night, as almost everyone will have a mix of Parsons, MWP, and Marion.

oh ok well guess we have to work on lu for tommarow congratulations to who made money tonight what lineup made that 297

100% cash. All Kobe-less. In order of lineups:261pts 16th place

275 2nd

261 16th

297 1st

269 11th

217 2nd (expert)

Anyone know what won the larger contests?

Have to believe the Kobe flu news helped because of the lineups I looked at in my leagues last night I don't remember anyone with him.

Are you guys making money at this? Thinking of dangling my toes in the water.
I'm pretty much a low stakes player. If I separated NFL and NBA I'd be up on NBA this year. I think I'm up overall this NFL/NBA season, but it's probably around even. I just have alot of fun doing these daily games. I've actually never put a penny into any daily site...anything I've won has been built from a small freeroll win. I cashed out what I think it a pretty nice chunk of money from another site. Been tempted the past week to increase my bankroll and stakes on Fanduel but have held off.

I had him and won a 5-teamer with 271. Over the years bryant has been a lot like Emmitt Smith or Curtis Martin. For some reason it's almost a requirement to be "overcoming" something. If you were to only play bryant when he was listed as 100% healthy I doubt you'd play him more than 25% of the time. I take any injury report with a giant grain of salt when it comes to that particular player. To shoe-horn him into my lineup I had to downgrade from T.Young to J.Thompson which looked like a big mistake for most of the night. All things being equal I really like having guys in the late games as it adds to the entertainment value. I was locked into 2nd/3rd until the second half of the laker game, last game of the night.
