*NBA THREAD* Abe will be missed (3 Viewers)

Terrific game - one of the best I've ever seen.

For all those begging for a foul - they NEVER call that stuff at the end of the game, and the players know it.

Miami showed me a lot of heart today - thought they were choking like dogs.

Wow...they rode Ginobili as traveled the lane and then Bosh bodies Green into the stands while stuffing his shot.

It didn't matter what the Spurs did tonight...the script was written in quick drying cement tonight.
that is such whining BS. Have you ever watched the end of an NBA playoff game?

Ginobli did nothing different than all of the non-calls James got early in the game. Rightfully so.

Lebron and Bosh were monsters in the 4th and OT.....and Ray Ray....sweeeeeeet!

What a game.

Exhausted. Elated.

Good night. See ya Thursday night.

Pop supposed to be the best coach in the NBA and he probably blew the championship by removing Duncan for the Heat's final possession of regulation and then not getting the timeout to put Parker back in the game at the end of OT.

Am I missing something? What was the purpose of having Splitter on the court and Parker on the bench?

3 on 5 against MIA isn't going to work very often.

Some real bad coaching by Pop down the stretch. How you're not feeding Timmy in the post is hard to explain.
There's actually a very simple explanation. The Heat are an outstanding defensive team. With LeBron on him, Parker was pretty much limited to side-to-side movement and couldn't get the ball inside. And Parker is such a defensive liability he had to to be subbed out on key defensive possessions, limiting SAS's chances to get transition buckets off of misses.
Wait, they couldn't get it inside to Timmy b/c Parker was being guarded so well by James? Then have Ginobli bring it up the floor. They kept try to force feed that pick and roll with Parker and that was going nowhere.

tough loss but it sets up an epic game 7. i don't think the spurs will be lacking for confidence but they - especially Pop - will need to be in better control throughout the game.

How is that not a foul???
Mostly because his entire hand was on the ball.
sure. But his other hand and both arms and legs were all over the guy.
Everyone knows that isn't a foul in the 4th quarter and overtime.
My rule book doesn't have sections for each quarter.
The NBA does.
Really? Nba has had some bad calls but this was hardly a prime example of corruption. This game was actually pretty even.

And The Spurs.....ran out of gas. They simply ran out. The Heat played ultra high pressure defense...Lebron was all over TP.

The Spurs were spent.

Lebron stepped up like a man in the 4th quarter tonight.

And it all came down to a Bosh rebound and Ray Allen three. Then a Bosh block to clinch.

Amazing game.

Plenty of blame to go around. Duncan could not generally seal his man in the post in the second half, and when he did, he was ineffective. Green was invisible. Manu pulled a wade and actively hurt the team badly tonight.

They need to allow replay review for possible fouls in the last minute of games when the score is within 3 points. Period.
Uhhhh.

No.
Why do I feel that you'd have a different opinion if the Heat had lost with questionable calls down the stretch?
Absolutely not. Regardless.

I can't stand replay of any kind in any sports (other than goal reviews in the NHL because of the speed of that game). Hate it with a passion.

If loving Stern winning is wrong....I don't wanna be right.
Again,

Too bad TNT didn't have this game. Could you imagine Kenny Smith's incoherent babbling right now?
I'd like to reiterate my promise to FFA: if I win the Powerball before next June, I'm hiring Ernie, Sir Charles, and Jet to do their studio show in my great room during the NBA Finals. And y'all are invited.
They are the best studio show in all of sports, IMO.

Yep! They should be doing the finals!
