Agreed. Lowry 100% deserves to be in it while Derozan is borderline. I'd have no argument with either of Afflalo or Stephenson over him (well, I'd argue, but just for the hell of it).

That is a great question. They could of at least got a Nationally televised1pm est game in there before the super bowl, for sports fans to keep busy until the big game. At least put the Celtics/I think Magic game on NBATV. What else are they going to show.

I think Lowry deserves to be in over Derozan to give Raps their rep. [i've never been a proponent of giving teams a rep for the sake of just doing so, but 1 of the 2 does deserve to go]
Stephenson belongs over Joe Johnson as a no brainer. He also belongs over several others. Particularly one East starter, playing in the toilet bowl that is Cleveland, voted by the fans. And in the process of comparing to Stephenson (even if you've not seen a minute of either play this season), you'll also see how ridiculous PER is.......

I agree fan voting is awful, but just as bad is NBA coaches naming Johnson over Stephenson. Saw mentioned above, I agree the Stephenson has been the East's best 2 in the first half.
Goran Dragic also deserves a spot. Rotoworld had a nice article about him (vs. Parker & Lilliard). The Johnson selection was so bad it's put on the back burner how good Goran's been this season. Unlike Joe Johnson, Parker/Lilliard are playing at high level on good teams so Goran omission is understandable.

The Cavaliers do not want to send Anthony Bennett to the D-League because it would be an admission of a failure, according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.
He would be the highest pick ever to go to the D-League, but Bennett isn't totally against the idea. "I heard it helped out Shabazz [Muhammad] real well," Bennett said. "Any way to help, I'm with it." He doesn't have the athleticism to beat guys off the dribble or any real go-to moves in the post, so he really could use some seasoning with the D-League. Maybe, but I'd think it's more a matter of ESPN not wanting to interfere with their own SB pre-game coverage.
TNT would make sense, but I imagine ESPN may have the rights to all national NBA games on Sundays.

Tough call. I would be all for it. He seems to be thought of quite highly around the league from what I've read. It would probably take 2 1sts since this years pick is looking like it'll be around 20.

Jonas & 2 1sts is a pipe dream IMO in this draft to get Embiid Wiggins Parker. I'd wouldn't accept offer for either of the 2 PG's either unless have a franchise PG in place. Other drafts, he very well would be worth the #1 pick.
Jonas will be a good player but I don't think he's a star player that people will pay to see. I've never been a proponent of dealing franchise players that can be the face of your franchise for players that won't be. (If you think Jonas will be that, then do it. I don't think he will be)

Maybe. All depends on the GMs view of JV. IMO his floor is 15/10 and a borderline top 10 center for the next decade. I agree that he'll never be a franchise guy. That plus a couple 1sts is a pretty good return for a lottery ticket. As hyped as this draft is, there are going to be busts. Bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
Maybe they'd have to throw In Ross or Derozan to sweeten the deal.

He was 1-of-16 on shots beyond 3 feet tonight.
Playing him at the 3.Pistons probably still wishing they had Corey Maggette on the books still instead

Well, if he plays 5 more games this season he is on the books for next year. If he doesn't there is some rule that would allow the Lakers to get out from under that 9 mil next year and wipe it from they're books. They would have that 9 mil to spend on other players. Here in SoCal they have been talking about what a waste it's going to be. How they should just have him sit out the rest if the year and waive him and keep the 9 mil in cap space.

They just ended a streak of being at or below .500 team for 355 games that dated back to 09'.
No idea what the record is for that but maybe now some of you understand just how bad this franchise has been.45 wins has not been topped since the 78'-79' campaign.
And now this year they are the only team who can say they have beaten the Heat,Blazers and Thunder by 10 points or more.
And yes,I will enjoy this while I can!

The Suns have reportedly halted trade talks with the Lakers for Pau Gasol, with the Lakers apparently seeking too much in return for the veteran big man.
The groin injury that will likely keep Gasol out through the All-Star break also had to have played a role in talks breaking down, while the Suns aren't in any hurry to give up many of their coveted draft picks (they should have four of them). Talks could resume at any time, but with Gasol on the shelf and the Lakers asking a steep price for Gasol, it doesn't appear likely that he'll end up in Phoenix.

Agree. They are young enough as it is. Picks outside of the lottery are almost destined to be rotation guys or busts. They don't need any more rotation guys. No, they aren't winning the title but so what? Not every team wins the prize.

Just because they don't "need" them doesn't mean they should be just giving them away. There's no reason to be shipping an asset like that to LA for an injured rental,especially when LA has limited suitors. This sounds a lot like last summer.

Agreed. People assume Lakers only asked for 1 1st and/or were asking for the Pacer pick.
Suns need a long term star. Gasol isn't it at this point. Unless you think Dragic and/or Bledsoe will lead you to promise land, they need to set their sights on a star. Unless they somehow think they'll get it in FA, best way to do so is via the draft.
They can also use those pick(s) and current players from team to move up. And get someone that'll be their for the long term in the process. Wouldn't be shocked at all if they part with Dragic (career year) and/or match any offer Bledsoe gets on the restricted market. Likewise, it's not a given that Bledsoe will be back & some team won't throw a trunkload of money based on his play earlier this season.
