Like Truck, he's a super dope homeboy from the Oaktown. Thanks that was my first thought as I know he is a A's fan. Didn't know he was a Warriors fan as well.Just down the bench from GS? Looks like MC Hammer.Nobody can help me out with this?Who is the black dude with sunglasses they keep showing?
Can see the coming commentary this week with everyone scratching their head wondering why they ever thought a superstar-less team had a chance to make any noise in the playoffs. So long George. :(
I don't know. IMO, this was a second round playoff team. If everything broke right, maybe they were capable of making the conference finals, but it can't be terribly surprising that they lost a tough first round series. Their own GM didn't think they were a contender. It's not like they pulled a massive choke job or anything.Another year another nuggets failure.
He had two hands on the ball. The replay is hardly inconclusive.I am not sure he doubled. He may have but the replay isn't conclusive, and given what they get away with ie traveling, carrying you give him the benefit of the doubt.
Yeah, looks pretty clear to me.He had two hands on the ball. The replay is hardly inconclusive.I am not sure he doubled. He may have but the replay isn't conclusive, and given what they get away with ie traveling, carrying you give him the benefit of the doubt.
Yeah, that play was just terrible and was doomed from the start. You are down 4 and have less than 10 seconds and Miller is dribbling the ball at the top like he is looking to kill the clock. And why would Karl run an inbounds play for Miller where he gets the ball 35 feet from the hoop? Ick.
You can't tell from the clips I've seen. He was trying to fake a shot attempt, brought his hand to the ball as such... I don't see an angle to say for sure he did or didn't actually touch it.Yeah, looks pretty clear to me.He had two hands on the ball. The replay is hardly inconclusive.I am not sure he doubled. He may have but the replay isn't conclusive, and given what they get away with ie traveling, carrying you give him the benefit of the doubt.
And remember when they used to tie an onion to them? It was the style of the time. You couldn't get white ones, because of the war. All you could get was those big yellow ones.yeah but carrying is basically legal now and believe me you would not want it to go back to the pure rule the game is so much better now than it was when guys were wearing belts and walking fast instead of running to make sure there was no carrying or traveling it would ruin the game to go back to honest to god enforcement of the rules talk about boring brohans
Miller is signed for the next two seasons at about $5M a year with the 2nd season partially guaranteed at something like $2M.Yeah, that play was just terrible and was doomed from the start. You are down 4 and have less than 10 seconds and Miller is dribbling the ball at the top like he is looking to kill the clock. And why would Karl run an inbounds play for Miller where he gets the ball 35 feet from the hoop? Ick.
Denver is going to have to make some moves in order for them to improve--otherwise, us fans are going to see a repeat of this next year. I won't be surprised to see Miller come back for another year on the cheap. Iggy needs to take a pay cut if he wants to stay, but I doubt he does that. McGee needs a summer of hard work, but I don't know if you can fix stupid. Couple other pieces will need to be moved or as suggested a combined group of players for a trade. The core is solid, but....
Congrats to GSW![]()
And most prognosticators had them as a 7/8 type seed going into the season. In someways I think Karl's failures are a product of his own success. He's been taking mediocre teams (outside of maybe 2 or 3 of the Melo years) and getting them into the playoffs. I don't think Karl is one of the top 2 or 3 coaches in the NBA, he's a tier right below Thibs and Pop, but no other coach in the NBA could have got THIS team to the 3rd seed with 57 wins. Its unfortunate that Gallo got hurt because he would have thrived in this series with all the open J's the Warriors were conceding packing the paint.I don't know. They have about $51M in committed salaries next season (that includes all rotation players other than Brewer and Iggy), the luxury tax this season was a smidgen over $70M. They have plenty of room to resign Iggy, if he even opts out, and makes some other moves.I think the Nuggets have to make a 3 for 1 type deal to get a stud in there. Pretty sure with their cap situation they wont be able to take teh luxury tax hit if they resign Iggy this offseason.
Lossing Gallo did hurt in this series and Brewer falling apart didn't help. And most prognosticators had them as a 7/8 type seed going into the season. Brewer, Koufos, Chandler and Miller played their worst basketball of their season in this series. The only two guys that played well were Iggy and Lawson.Lossing Gallo did hurt in this series and Brewer falling apart didn't help. And most prognosticators had them as a 7/8 type seed going into the season. I like Andre Miller as a backup PG, but Karl uses him in two guard sets with Miller for 10 minutes a game and I think its awful for a couple big reasons. First, Miller can guard anybody and putting him against big 2 guards gets them killed and second, Miller has to have the ball in his hands to be effective and that takes the ball out of the hands of Denver's best player in Lawson. Replacing him with a PG like Jack would be perfect, a guy that can kind of guard SGs and can nail 3s.
Also, I would like them to trade out McGee. I think a McGee-Ryan Anderson swap makes quite a bit of sense from both teams.
They desperately need some shooters, Lawson, Gallo and Chandler are all decent shooters and Iggy can knock them down from time to time, but they really need a guy that they can stretch the D with.

Yeah, the lack of shooters seemed pretty glaring to me in this series, even with Iggy playing over his head in that department.I was shocked to see Chandler was a 40% guy from 3 this season. That's one of the ugliest shots this side Shawn Marion.I would rather them stand pat than blow it up and fire Karl, but I would like to see some moves. Especially for Ryan Anderson. Anderson seems to be an asset and what would the Pelicans get out of McGee? I'd imagine Davis will start seeing more and more time at the 5 and McGee doesn't really add much when they have Robin Lopez.Nobody is going to touch the McGee contract. That was just a colossal mistake from the beginning and one the nuggets will have to live with unless they are taking back another liability.
Sweep.GSW vs SAS ought be a blast. I am going to love the coaching battle, too, between Pop and Jackson.
Did you see his face on those free throws? Couldn't hide the choking. I don't think he could breathe.Nobody is going to touch the McGee contract. That was just a colossal mistake from the beginning and one the nuggets will have to live with unless they are taking back another liability.
When you only lose 3 regular season games at home anything less than the conference finals or nba finals is a disappointment in my book. I have never believed in the Nuggets as a serious contender and perhaps I am biased being a Knicks fan with the Melo trade and all. As others have mentioned they need a star player who can score in clutch, Gallo is good but he is too inconsistent and somewhat injury prone to fill this role.Lossing Gallo did hurt in this series and Brewer falling apart didn't help. And most prognosticators had them as a 7/8 type seed going into the season. San Antonio played perhaps the worst playoff team in the past 10 years and that's saying something with how weak the 8th seed in the East has been. If Bucks vs Lakers faced each other this year its 4-1 or 4-2 for Bucks.Sweep.GSW vs SAS ought be a blast. I am going to love the coaching battle, too, between Pop and Jackson.

"You know what else is shaky? Turbulence."Royce White will likely go down as the worst draft pick of all time for the Rockets. He is the gift that keeps giving. His recent tweets to Durant and Thunder "And... that's why you play the games. That @okcthunder team just looked shook. They're looking shaky baby."White followed with another tweet to Durant."@KDTrey5... Y'all are looking SHAAAKYY BAAABYY."No, seriously! all jokes aside @KDTrey5 is a beast, but with all due respect last 2 games they've been looking #SHAAAKYY... All due respect! At least he added all due respect in his last tweet, what an embarrassment.

Yes everyone seems to have hopped back on Spurs bandwagon after beating the Lakers but I am not convinced and still remember the team that struggled through the end of the regular season. Is this an indictment on the Spurs? no way the lakers would have beat milwaukee by 100 points total on the series i think you are underestimating what a bunch of jerkalopes brandon i deserve to be paid like a top 5 guard even though i stink up the joint jennings and monta hey look i found something round i better shoot it no matter what else happens on earth ellis are they both think they are better than milwaukee and deserve to be paid top 3 dollars in a major market and i am sick of them but still the fact remains that they play with no heart and give up on the team and try to go it there own as soon as they get down a couple of buckets pretty depressing to watch i miss bogutSan Antonio played perhaps the worst playoff team in the past 10 years and that's saying something with how weak the 8th seed in the East has been. Bogut went nuts last night.
The W's played much better D than I was expecting.
I'll be rooting for the Ws but I think the Spurs take it in 6 or 7. I wonder if Lee will be able to play much, if at all.
