Yeah, that play was just terrible and was doomed from the start. You are down 4 and have less than 10 seconds and Miller is dribbling the ball at the top like he is looking to kill the clock.

Denver is going to have to make some moves in order for them to improve--otherwise, us fans are going to see a repeat of this next year. I won't be surprised to see Miller come back for another year on the cheap. Iggy needs to take a pay cut if he wants to stay, but I doubt he does that. McGee needs a summer of hard work, but I don't know if you can fix stupid. Couple other pieces will need to be moved or as suggested a combined group of players for a trade. The core is solid, but....

You can't tell from the clips I've seen. He was trying to fake a shot attempt, brought his hand to the ball as such... I don't see an angle to say for sure he did or didn't actually touch it.

Having said that, if he didn't double dribble he sure as hell cupped the ball with his left hand (the ball stops completely for a moment). Of course you rarely see a crossover without this these days.

Miller is signed for the next two seasons at about $5M a year with the 2nd season partially guaranteed at something like $2M.

The thing that i find interesting about McGee, and I'm constantly trying to convince my dad of this, is that although he clearly has a hard time grasping basketball concepts and is certainly not a smart basketball player, I think he is a pretty smart guy. And while I don't want him on the roster next season, he has made HUGE strides with the dumb basketball plays since he got here. As Tobias or any other Wizards fan and they would tell you that those dumb blocks or plays were he completely gives up on the defensive end were common occurrences, happening multiple times a game, every game. In Denver those weren't happening more than once or twice in a game.

They have about $51M in committed salaries next season (that includes all rotation players other than Brewer and Iggy), the luxury tax this season was a smidgen over $70M. They have plenty of room to resign Iggy, if he even opts out, and makes some other moves.

And something else that people are missing about these Nuggets, they have the third youngest roster in the NBA, the entire roster other than Miller, Iggy and Gallo, because of his injury, is going to improve going into next season. Most of these guys have at least two years until their peak.

It would be insulting to call the last 6:30 of the game professional basketball.. embarrassing play by GSW down the final leg of the game imo. This was all preceded by the last thing you did watch, almost equally embarrassing offense by Denver.

I like Andre Miller as a backup PG, but Karl uses him in two guard sets with Miller for 10 minutes a game and I think its awful for a couple big reasons. First, Miller can guard anybody and putting him against big 2 guards gets them killed and second, Miller has to have the ball in his hands to be effective and that takes the ball out of the hands of Denver's best player in Lawson. Replacing him with a PG like Jack would be perfect, a guy that can kind of guard SGs and can nail 3s.

Also, I would like them to trade out McGee. I think a McGee-Ryan Anderson swap makes quite a bit of sense from both teams.

They desperately need some shooters, Lawson, Gallo and Chandler are all decent shooters and Iggy can knock them down from time to time, but they really need a guy that they can stretch the D with.

Yeah, the lack of shooters seemed pretty glaring to me in this series, even with Iggy playing over his head in that department.I was shocked to see Chandler was a 40% guy from 3 this season. That's one of the ugliest shots this side Shawn Marion.

When you only lose 3 regular season games at home anything less than the conference finals or nba finals is a disappointment in my book. I have never believed in the Nuggets as a serious contender and perhaps I am biased being a Knicks fan with the Melo trade and all. As others have mentioned they need a star player who can score in clutch, Gallo is good but he is too inconsistent and somewhat injury prone to fill this role.

I have never believed in the Nuggets as a serious contender and perhaps I am biased being a Knicks fan with the Melo trade and all. As others have mentioned they need a star player who can score in clutch, Gallo is good but he is too inconsistent and somewhat injury prone to fill this role.

What do you expect from a team that is under .500 on the road?

Yes everyone seems to have hopped back on Spurs bandwagon after beating the Lakers but I am not convinced and still remember the team that struggled through the end of the regular season.

no way the lakers would have beat milwaukee by 100 points total on the series i think you are underestimating what a bunch of jerkalopes brandon i deserve to be paid like a top 5 guard even though i stink up the joint jennings and monta hey look i found something round i better shoot it no matter what else happens on earth ellis are they both think they are better than milwaukee and deserve to be paid top 3 dollars in a major market and i am sick of them but still the fact remains that they play with no heart and give up on the team and try to go it there own as soon as they get down a couple of buckets pretty depressing to watch i miss bogut

Lamar Odom had strong words for his Clippers teammates in advance of a do-or-die Game 6 on Friday vs. the Grizzlies.
"I don't know if it's just about [lack of] intensity," he said. "It might be more about paying attention to detail and understanding what sacrifice is and how to sacrifice yourself for the team." It's pretty rich that Odom would be the one to speak on the issue given the effort he provided in Dallas last year and the fact that he showed up to Clippers training camp overweight and out of shape, but at least someone is talking. Odom added he's tried to take a leadership role all year, but some of his advance has "fallen on deaf ears." The Clippers are up against it and the Grizzlies smell blood in the water with Game 6 in Memphis.
