It *WASN'T* an easy punt. Belichick went for an all out block, forcing Brown to sprint 50 yards downfield, turn around, locate the ball quickly while backpedaling, and make the catch. Yes, if he was lined up deep and had plenty of time to get under the ball, then it would have been an easy punt. But he didn't. Belichick made a decision that made that punt DRASTICALLY harder to field.Also, for a team that knew that Denver was going to blitz as often as Denver blitzes, why did New England have to burn not one but TWO timeouts as Denver's defense shifted from its standard 4-3 to its puntrush look (8 men on the LoS)? I mean, Denver had shown this look in EVERY SINGLE GAME SINCE PHILADELPHIA. Tom Brady talked ALL WEEK about this look, and what he was going to do against it. And then, come gametime, this look confused them so much they had to burn TWO timeouts. That's getting "outcoached"
