You do realize the game was over if Lynch lays down after he got the 1st down don't you? I guess you like to just lose with zero chance.

Or you know you could just knock him out of bounds and also not waste your timeouts. But hey losing by 15 isn't as bad as losing by 8 I guess.

They just down it and kick the FG then there is no time left for the Saints to try a comeback via TD PLUS onside kick and FG.

Notice they are still alive and you would already have lost. They won't win but they gave themselves a chance. I suggest taking some notes.
