New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks Playoff Thread (3 Viewers)

That looked like obvious helmet to helmet. Not sure about the complaints
and you're obviously blind
I don't have access to dvr at the moment. If no helmet to helmet, he was hit in the head. Not sure what you were watching that made you think it wasn't a penalty
Penalty or not, it's horse#### and ruining the game

The safety is targeting the chest. The receiver is going to the ground and is less than 1 second from having his hands on the ball. The safety can only get so low so fast and still impact the play.

The rule should be about intention and it should be reviewable every time its called.
:devilsadvocate:

maybe the safety should target the stomach instead of the chest that way if the target gets lower he hits him in the chest and not the head

what's with all the flip passes in the playoffs so far? Alex Smith and Dalton both did them last week too. One of those is going to turn into a pick-6...

Well, other than two special teams gaffes, Saints fans have to feel decent about this. This is exactly the type of game we wanted. Sticking with the run should allow for a few openings in the air.

We'll see if we hear anything more about Tate coming right back in from the league. He certainly looked woozy and cameras clearly caught it.

And quit with the cheap and dirty talk.

Big stand by the Saints after that horrid series and punt.
Soon as the saints stop making cheap and dirty (and probably smart) hits we'll stop pointing it out.
How are they dirty and cheap? Because they are hard hits?Laughable coming from a Seahawk fan.
What's going to be funny is when there's a flag on Seattle and you take the other viewpoint.
Again, tell me how they are cheap and dirty hits.
Sorry, no way would that accusation ever be made or stick to the Saints.
So they aren't cheap and dirty hits, or you can't tell why they are, just that, "they just are"?
When you go after the head of a guy with concussion issues in the past on his first down field target of the game and your franchise and coach have a history of putting bounties on hurting the other teams best player, I don't think it's unfair to point it out. Could it have been accidental? Sure. Did it look dirty? Yup.
It looked like the guy came up to hit Harvin in the chest and Harvin bent over preparing for the hit. The only other option was to aim for the guys knees and then you have a Gronk type of hit. In Harvin's case his knee would most likely turn to mush. I just don't know how you can hit any other way at that speed not knowing what the receiver is going to do at the last second. I just don't. The guy went in shoulder first and chest high. Didn't launch upwards just drove straight through. I just don't see how else you can hit the guy on that play.

Whichever ###hole tv executive who came up with the idea of "touchdown....commercial.......kickoff....another commercial" should be taken outside and eaten by North Korean dogs.

The Saints need to stop with the screen passes, this D is too good and too fast and they are looking for them on every play.

FF note: Glad I grabbed Robinson in my leagues, he looks like a stud in the making.

I guess no concussion protocol for Harvin eh?
He was evaluated in the locker room.
For some reason I thought guys couldn't come back regardless of the test results. I thought that's what happened with Keenan Lewis last week, but maybe not.
Why test them if they're not allowed to come back?
I thought the idea was they may lie and any suspicion of concussion prevents teams from letting them back in. Not trying to start #### here, just didn't know the rule because the same thing went down with Lewis last week.
