NFC Championship Game - Philadelphia Eagles at Arizona Cardinals (1 Viewer)

as one of the last mcnabb fans in philly, i am losing faith. if we lose here i think i am done... too much inconsistency
I continue to be amazed by posts like these.
Yeah. McNabb should really make his WRs catch better, and his LT block better.
he's got company in this game for sure. But, when it matters most, mcNabb shrinks like costanza on a cold day at the pool. they needed him to be sharp and come out firing today. Instead, he's sputtered into a mediocre day, at bestsad part is, they need to keep him next year. no way i hand over the reigns to Kolb

If Cromartie was off-side prior to extra point, why wouldn't the Eagles move it closer to the goal-line and go for two.

Philly hanging on by their fingernails. I just can't see them stopping Warner & Co. enough times to win this game. Plus, as someone noted earlier, the Eagles are wasting WAY too much time. It's not realistic to expect them to shutout Arizona the rest of the way, so if I was Reid, I would've already been in the hurry-up in that last drive.

I have watched mcnabb for his entire career, don't down play his choking. balls in the dirt over/under thrown balls are signature mcnabb... this happens when it counts.

I was thinking the same originally, but for Philly I don't think being at the 1 is any better than being at the 2, because they're going to have to throw it in either way. They have no short yardage running game whatsoever.

Or they could have tried a McNabb QB sneak from the 1.

Is there something wrong with the Arizona punter? After each kick he turns his back like he either doesnt want to watch the shank of a punt he just hit or he is hurt.

one thing i hadnt though of, if the eagles do show some pride and make this close, do the Cards young and inexperienced players get nervous? not warner or fitz, but the O and D lines?

Why not go for the 2 point conversion there? No difference between 11 or 12 right?
Down 12, you need two TDs to take the lead. Down 11, a FG and a TD with a 2-point conversion could still tie the game. You do not want to chase the points too early, so kicking the XP was the right move there.

Their line gets pushed around in those short yardage situations. I don't think they're confident they could sneak it with inches to go, much less a full yard.

I see your point. Gotta get the extra 2 somewhere though. I am not seeing the game so I thought it might as well happen there.

This #5 for Philly is playing a hell of a 2nd half. In a big game. When it matters most. I have faith. He's not infallible, but I think he's due for a few more big plays.

I think that all you people that have been bagging McNabb for this game and forever should just turn off the game right now. After all, you already know he's going to choke, so what's the point of watching?

Move the chains here. One more 1st down gives them a makeable FG try and an 8 point game. Love the TD here, but move the chains and keep the pressure on the Cards.

Really excited for this game. Should be terrific -- two good QBs and defenses.

This is the Eagles first game at this stadium, and that's when HFA is strongest.

HFA is strongest in the first quarter.

I predict the Cards go up early, 10-3 at the end of the first. Cards hold on to win 20-17.
Prediction wasn't right on the money, but no doubt we saw the Eagles look uncomfortable early on and not playing like they usually do while Arizona looked great ouf of the gate. After things have settled down, we have a game here.

im joyous for the fact they are finally using Celek like the position was meant to be used in Reids offense.

Think they shy away from a TE earlier and go 2 OTs or a OT and WR? ( or RB )

or kicker
