Grew Lewis. The definition of a #5 WR
What? He tried to force it in between 4 defenders, couldn't fit it in, and it got picked off. Also they need to start a new stat with interceptions. Face it, not all INTs are a QBs fault just as we saw.
No a great throw, but he got his hands on it. He should have caught that.Tough throw to make, but McNabb missed that one by a mile.
I agree. Great replay by Fox to show how a decent throw would have resulted in a long play/TD.Lost amidst the excitement, DMac:1) throws behind Jackson on a crossing route; 2) throws high over hte middle for an INT;3) throws over the wrong shoulder deep for Lewis; 4) throws low to Baskett. He doesn't look good right now.
It hung up a little bit, and the fact that Lewis had to turn to catch over his outside shoulder helped the defender recover and make a play.No a great throw, but he got his hands on it. He should have caught that.Tough throw to make, but McNabb missed that one by a mile.
That was one of the toughest catches a WR can make. 50 yards downfield and he has to spin all the way around right as the ball gets there, and right as a defender hits his arm and the ball. That's one of the toughest catches in the NFL even if the defender isn't hitting your arm right as the ball gets there. It never should've been that difficult even with a decent throw. Can't fault the WR on that one..No a great throw, but he got his hands on it. He should have caught that.Tough throw to make, but McNabb missed that one by a mile.
The Eagles are extremely lucky that they aren't staring 14-3 in the face right now.I agree. true, but give him time. Has been a trademark of the Eagles this year, play like crap in the 1st half when you are on the road.Lost amidst the excitement, DMac:1) throws behind Jackson on a crossing route; 2) throws high over hte middle for an INT;3) throws over the wrong shoulder deep for Lewis; 4) throws low to Baskett. He doesn't look good right now.
please don't make me go there. please prove me wrong McNabbLost amidst the excitement, DMac:1) throws behind Jackson on a crossing route; 2) throws high over hte middle for an INT;3) throws over the wrong shoulder deep for Lewis; 4) throws low to Baskett. He doesn't look good right now.
I agree, McNabb hasn't played well so far but the deep ball was still pretty well thrown considering and should have been caught.Lost amidst the excitement, DMac:1) throws behind Jackson on a crossing route; 2) throws high over hte middle for an INT;3) throws over the wrong shoulder deep for Lewis; 4) throws low to Baskett. He doesn't look good right now.
And they also lost a lot of games. You tend not to get very much leeway for such problems in the playoffs, especially late in the playoffs given that your opponents usually are playing at a high level.true, but give him time. I don't disagree, but Philly fans should be encouraged by the separation the WRs are getting. McNabb tends to settle down later as well, so if those same chances are still there it could be some big plays coming for the Eagles.Lost amidst the excitement, DMac:1) throws behind Jackson on a crossing route; 2) throws high over hte middle for an INT;3) throws over the wrong shoulder deep for Lewis; 4) throws low to Baskett. He doesn't look good right now.

There is no way that "should have been caught" applies there. "Could have been caught", yes, but it would have been spectacular catch. No one blames a guy for not making a one handed catch, but that play was at least as difficult, and just because it doesn't look as fancy doesn't change that.I agree, McNabb hasn't played well so far but the deep ball was still pretty well thrown considering and should have been caught.Lost amidst the excitement, DMac:1) throws behind Jackson on a crossing route; 2) throws high over hte middle for an INT;3) throws over the wrong shoulder deep for Lewis; 4) throws low to Baskett. He doesn't look good right now.
"Pretty well thrown?" Not by NFL standards. If he throws that over the correct shoulder it's an easy reception and possibly a TD. By throwing it over the wrong shoulder he greatly increased the difficulty of the catch for the WR and enabled the DB with his back to McNabb to know the ball is on its way and to make a play.I agree, McNabb hasn't played well so far but the deep ball was still pretty well thrown considering and should have been caught.Lost amidst the excitement, DMac:

YUKYUKYUKYUKYUKHe looks like McCrap right now.
Spectacular catch? It dropped right down into his bread basket and hit both hands. That would have been a nice catch, but far from spectacular. There is no way that "should have been caught" applies there. "Could have been caught", yes, but it would have been spectacular catch. I understand the pattern, but that looks to me like it cost them 7 points on this last drive. That's a steep price to pay in a conference championship game. Meanwhile, the Cards have coaches too, and they'll make some adjustments to counter that separation.I don't disagree, but Philly fans should be encouraged by the separation the WRs are getting. If you're fortunate enough to spend 5 minutes or 20 minutes around Moe Green, your life is better for it.YUKYUKYUKYUKYUKHe looks like McCrap right now.

That Fitzgerald is quite the baller, isn't he?He threw it form the opposite hash and about 50 yds down field. That's not easy and not even something all NFL QBs can do. It was catchable, but not perfect. Not many QBs, even "by NFL standards" as you like to say could make that throw. You jumping all over McNabb because he didn't throw the perfect pass on one of the more difficult throws in the NFL yet give the WR a total pass when it hit him in both hands."Pretty well thrown?" Your avatar bugs me for some reason.
Yeah, it hit his hands....at the exact moment he got his head spun around and at the exact moment the defender reached in there to strip it out.I guarantee you that if you ask any NFL WR which is a more difficult catch between that one and a one-handed grab they will tell you that one right there, yet everyone ooooh's and ahhhh's over the one handers and doesn't blame people when they don't make them.Spectacular catch? The throw didn't need to be "perfect", but it absolutely needed to be over the correct shoulder to have a good chance of success. Stop making excuses for McNabb. I know he's capable of making such throws, and I'm sure he'd tell you what I did. He's choking right now, and his team can't afford for him to do that.He threw it form the opposite hash and about 50 yds down field. That's not easy and not even something all NFL QBs can do.
