Yeah, I thought the Ravens/Vikings games that went from 12-7 with 2:08 left in the game and ended up 29-26 in regulation was pretty incredible.

Insane stuff! I reformulated some of these into a little trick riddle:

"Take these numbers:

• The number of TD passes thrown to WR's for the 2014 Chiefs
• The number of wins by the teams that drafted the #1 pick in each of 2017, '18, '19, and '20 before those teams tied a game
• The number of teams in 2010 that had more offensive yards than the Chargers, and the number of teams that gave up fewer yards on defense than the Chargers (note that the Chargers were not a playoff team)

Give your best ballpark guesstimate of the sum of those seven different numbers."

I remember watching this game, David Carr was abysmal. He completed a grand total of 3 passes. Offensive line was really bad sure but the Steelers only had 4 sacks in the game. Carr just couldn’t do anything (didn’t help that he had little help on offense, Andre wasn’t drafted until the following year.) Steelers coughed up the ball 5 times, one was a fumble returned for a TD and (now coach) Aaron Glenn had not one, but two Pick 6’s of like 70+ yards.

Has anyone mentioned the crazy one from last year, when Josh Allen threw a TD pass that was caught by Amari Cooper, who then pitched it back to him & he took it in for a receiving TD (without getting a catch)?

This play is officially scored as a Josh Allen passing touchdown to Josh Allen. Allen also received credit for 7 receiving yards on the play. He is one of the few quarterbacks in NFL history to have a receiving touchdown on a pass he threw, and the first since Marcus Mariota in 2017. The touchdown occurred during a game against the San Francisco 49ers on December 1, 2024
