**NFL Kickoff TNF - Baltimore at Kansas City** (-3, 46.5) 8:20...now 8:40 on NBC - AFCC Rematch! (1 Viewer)

Gotta say, Lamar really screwed himself a couple times there. Missing Flowers in the endzone, taking WAY too much time to throw, and not spiking the ball.
Meh on the flip side not spiking it got 3 great scoring chances. Hard to argue with what he got there at the end.

Let's go back to the end of the 1st Half...terrible clock management as well
I mean, if we’re gonna nitpick, he had some big plays where allegedly the tackle was lined up a little bit in the backfield, but for the other team, the tackle was on side

Likely went in the 6th round tonight I was their huckleberry and I took Andrews in round 7

Likely would been a 4th rounder tomorrow had that catch stood
That’s probably one of those crazy outlier games that elevates his ADP because those stats count,

No guarantee Andrews isn’t the alpha but it’s a hell of a start for Likely.

And maybe he is the TE1 now. I’m still skeptical. What a huge miss by 99% of the FF community if so.

If you’re a true believer it’d be a good week to test the waters on getting Mark Andrews. I’m sure his owner was watching and might be a lil scared.
Dude in my home league took Andrews after I picked Kincaid - and backed him up with Likely.

Guess which one he started? If you guessed “not likely”, you’d be correct.

You better hope he is still hurt and not washed. That catch for the first down when he just kinda froze did not look good.

I'm serious; this is where you try and give lowball offers for Andrews from panicky owners.

There's no way Andrews should be an afterthought for long in this O. Likely was talked up as a Joker in the O all preseason.

It totally looked like he was afraid to dig upfield with his leg/foot.

I just watched again. He did not slip at all. His leg just didn’t cooperate with his brain, which is pretty typical coming back from an injury like that.

After microfracture on my left knee, it took over a year for me to not deliberately step down/up onto a stair when going up or down stairs. It was the weirdest thing. I had to re-learn how to walk up stairs without thinking about it.

Andrews will be fine IMO, he eats in the middle of the field and the Chiefs are so well coached you knew they were going to take that away from Lamar. But it seems the buzz about Likely being the de facto “WR”2 is real. He’s a stud.

here's the thing though, when it was reported that Andrews was in a car crash, he was "fine" but if he leg was hurt then he clearly wasn't "fine" so..the nfl/ravens team doctor lied to us?

This is also the last week where you should see X Worthy on a fantasy bench this season. That guy is a freak
Eh maybe. He’s fast. He saw 3 targets and scored on a run and a total blown coverage. Maybe he’s Tyreek but I’m not sure he’s shown much that’s sustainable other than being blazing fast
Doesn’t mean he won’t be in lineups everywhere. lol

Lamar 273 pass/122 rush, TD and also missed a wide open Zay Flowers at the end of the game, lost a fumble, and mismanaged the clock in both the 1st and 2nd Half
Almost 30 points in my Redraft leagues for what I feel was a pretty average or subpar game in terms of NFL Quarterback. Great stats but not a good game if I rooted for the Ravens

Henry 46 yds and a TD, Baltimore fell behind and stayed there all game, I'm sure some might panic, buy low IMHO
Likely looked really good tonight. The Andrews GM in my league wants take open bets that Andrews finishes ahead of Likely, hmmmmm
Zay Flowers 6 catches about 50 total yds, should had a late score. Looks very good
Justice Hill 6/52 catching, fluky
Bateman looked good when he was targeted just 2/53

Do you think it will look like this all year?

Mahomes threw a terrible ball at the end of the 1st Half, despite that he did pretty well coming close to 300 yds, TD pass and overall did Mahomes like things
Just 20 in most formats, maybe less

Pacheco scores again vs the Ravens, 75+ total yds, couple catches, not much other than a breather from either RB, firmly got all the snaps tonight, cemented RB1 status
Rice was terrific 7/103, Kelce was pretty quiet most of the night
Worthy put himself on the map, 3 plays 68 yds and a TD, won't be the last we hear of him but a TD er touch ratio is not likely to continue

Is this what you all expected?

Harbaugh said during all of camp that Hill would be involved. None of y'all chose to believe him.

I took him as my last RB in both of my redrafts. Of course I didn't start him today, but as I expected, it looks like he will be playable when I need him.
1 carry for 3 yards
Do you think he's gonna catch 102 balls?
I think fluky might have been strong but I certainly don't think 6 catches a week will be his norm.

I believed him - he’s my RB6 in a couple leagues.

I’m not expecting it, but I’m not ruling it out either.

I’m also not expecting 3 rushing yards per week to be his norm.

3% owned but of course a sicko in my league drafted him (full PPR)

last round fluky pass catcher RB just might turn into a viable Flex if you get jammed up later in the year

that's not nothing

Yeah, I took him in a BB league that ran 34 picks deep, and also as a dart throw in my last NFFC league - figure if Henry misses any time, Hill’s the primary beneficiary. He was the last of the next in line backs, and I heard Harbaugh praising him in the preseason.

Wish I had a spot to stash him in my home league.

I only caught part of the 2nd half. Baltimore looked disjointed on both sides of the ball. I'm counting that up to rust and the other team being really good.

What I don't understand is why they didn't just hammer Henry at KC. I'm sure Harbaugh & Monken are saying "we took what the defense gave us" (same thing they said after the AFCCG), but maybe try bending the other team to what YOU do.

Ol Colts OC Tom Moore is a legendary coach and like those types he can explain anything complicated as being so simple. I remember he spoke of size and speed of players being something of an evolution and he's just using the best matchups.

There's been plenty of coaches to try this but with Dallas Clark he was probably the most successful to regularly utilize it.

Now the rules won't let safeties smack like they used to and the rules favor the WRs. Linebackers are smaller but faster every year (since Jimmy Johnson) too. All that...

I gotta wonder if this isn't the era all the prior coaches were hoping for with this and every team can just line up a TE wide and have a mismatch.

BB using Gronk and Hernandez, Arthur using his TEs all over and FB in the slot on occasion. It's had some success other than Clark but not really a staple of an offense like Clark was.

This summer people discussing Jonnu as McDaniel talks like a cartoon evil genius when he describes how he'll use him. Chig has moved around a ton and Callahan has almost taken him out of the Y role. Pitts..
There's a lot of this type stuff this summer.

I'm stuck on the Bills and how they were using two TEs last summer and have been curiously so non-chalant about a weak WR corps on paper.

I wonder if Likely wasn't simply the first we see and we're about to see a big trend of TEs lining up all over and being a huge mismatch.

My Titans have an old Jamal Adams and two college safeties turned LB so they can probably (on paper) matchup. That's not so uncommon so I'm sure other teams have S turned LB too but I'm real curious if NFL DCs even have the right players to counter this if it is a trend.

I don't in anyway know enough about defensive philosophy to dig into this but maybe everyone won't be playing nickel and have their blessed athlete OLB as an edge? Maybe he's the only big enough fast enough guy to cover an extra TE if the planned S is already preoccupied with the other TE?

Do you think this will be a trend? And can defenses even match it well?

Did his toe actually touch the white? Seems like the part of the shoe at the top that curves up a tiny bit was across the white but didn't touch it.
Tough break
