IMO, they'll need the PR job of the year to repair his image even if they decide not to prosecute.But...But...Gretzky was traded!?!?!?!players like Kane don't get traded...unless they play in Boston
In all seriousness I see two scenarios. If he's charged/indicted he gets cut a la Richards and the Kings. If he's not charged he's a Hawk, might do some sort of counseling or some such but he stays a Hawk.
Interesting how earlier this summer you were defending Seguin by saying that it was simply a matter of getting older and more mature, and you pointed out Kane as an example.players like Kane don't get traded...unless they play in Boston
3 Stanley Cups? Working out pretty well for Chicago.Interesting how earlier this summer you were defending Seguin by saying that it was simply a matter of getting older and more mature, and you pointed out Kane as an example.players like Kane don't get traded...unless they play in Boston
How's that working out?

I'm not a Kane fan, but all recent reports before this latest incident were that he had matured. Not sure what the truth is now, so tough to say but I'm pretty sure Chicago is happy they didn't treat him the way the Bruins did Seguin. Pretty sure the Bruins would like to have Seguin back too.

They have no case if the woman doesn't testify and Kane has the deep pockets to convince her of the wisdom to not testify. Don't get me wrong, I think PK is guilty but I also think there's a good chance this case doesn't go to trial. It sucks, I know, but such is the reality of a big name star getting himself in this type of situation.
I can live with that. I'm still OK with Eriksson, though.I think they would like to have the horrible trade back but not Seguin...
California Penal League?Who'd pay anything for that POS?Could the Hawks trade Kane?? Chicago paper says it's possible:

If so, good riddance. Cut him, get the cap back and move on. So if he's charged this should be just like Richards no?
I assume so.If so, good riddance. Cut him, get the cap back and move on. So if he's charged this should be just like Richards no?
OK, wasn't sure how that was going to resolve.I assume so.If so, good riddance. Cut him, get the cap back and move on. So if he's charged this should be just like Richards no?
Richards situation hasn't really been resolved yet though. Kings might still have to pay him.
Wow that's pretty professional of him. I'm sure the Rangers are very happy to read about that!Raanta rooted for Nashville against the Hawks. Good riddance, #######.
Even worse than I anticipated:Islanders are going to unveil new black and white third jerseys because Brooklyn. :X
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/lightning-preparing-for-all-stamkos-possibilities/of course not. why would he. extension is already a done deal. And still no dealstill no extension for Stamkos.why not? it's not a lock Stamkos stays in Tampa at UFA. Toronto is a real possibility. We won't have to worry about that deal anyways because no way in hell Yzerman would do it.
Stamkos, who scored 43 goals last season in leading the Lightning to an Eastern Conference championship, said McDavid already eclipses him as a player.
"This guy is a special kid," Stamkos told ESPN.com on Tuesday. "I think he's better than me right now. I wouldn't have a second thought on saying that."
Stamkos, 25, also said McDavid is better than he was at 18 years old.
"Oh, he's way better," Stamkos said. "He is good. The best I've seen for a player that age."
And still no trade deal.....................which was what that was all about.Talks were he could have been dealt at draft day and that never happened.http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/lightning-preparing-for-all-stamkos-possibilities/of course not. why would he. extension is already a done deal. And still no dealstill no extension for Stamkos.why not? it's not a lock Stamkos stays in Tampa at UFA. everyone was laughing off the Lightning trading Stamkos like his extension was in the bag. you don't think they will look at trading him at some point if he hasn't signed? oh right, you were just talking about draft day. because Eichel would never be moved after the draft. once you pick a guy you are locked in.tom22406 said:And still no trade deal.....................which was what that was all about.Talks were he could have been dealt at draft day and that never happened.Aaron Rudnicki said:http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/lightning-preparing-for-all-stamkos-possibilities/of course not. why would he. extension is already a done deal. And still no dealstill no extension for Stamkos.why not? it's not a lock Stamkos stays in Tampa at UFA. He's not helping his case by saying McDavid is better than he is.Stamkos said today they are in "the middle phase" of the contract negotiations. Seems like it'll get done sometime relatively soon.
Might be hard to do from his couch.DK thinks PK will win the Art Ross trophy as the league's leading scorer this year. Scroll down to Windy City Blues.
I think PK plays. I think he pays the woman a bunch of money and the DA declines to prosecute because she will refuse to testify. I still think PK raped her but also think he gets off without jail time.Might be hard to do from his couch.DK thinks PK will win the Art Ross trophy as the league's leading scorer this year. Should be interesting, seems like the NHL and Hawks are backing away slowly at the moment.I think PK plays. I never said his extension was in the bag but the deal that was being talked about was never gonna happen and it didn't which was my point.everyone was laughing off the Lightning trading Stamkos like his extension was in the bag. you don't think they will look at trading him at some point if he hasn't signed? oh right, you were just talking about draft day. because Eichel would never be moved after the draft. once you pick a guy you are locked in.And still no trade deal.....................which was what that was all about.Talks were he could have been dealt at draft day and that never happened.http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/lightning-preparing-for-all-stamkos-possibilities/of course not. why would he. extension is already a done deal. And still no dealstill no extension for Stamkos.why not? it's not a lock Stamkos stays in Tampa at UFA. http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=778742&navid=DL|CHI|homeThe Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have acquired defensemen Dennis Robertson and Jake Massie and a fifth-round selection in the 2017 National Hockey League Draft from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forwards Kris Versteeg and Joakim Nordstrom and a third-round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft.
Doesn't work like that. She could settle with him all she wants and he might still have to face criminal charges. Since the burden of proof is a whole lot lower in civil court, she could take him for a hefty amount depending on the evidence.I'm sure this is not PC to say but isn't the best thing for the girl To just take a settlement? I mean, if not he is going to get his lawyers to tear her apart in an effort for him to get off. Screw it, the damage has already been done and a lot of rape cases are tough to get a conviction. Avoid all the drama and take some cash.
I understand all the arguments the other way and I have a daughter so I can only imagine how I would react if it was my daughter but at the end of the day it might make more sense to take the cash instead of rolling the dice on seeing this POS brought to justice.
With all the young talent fighting for roster slots I'm glad they were able to move Versteeg. Wouldn't mind seeing Bickell go too, but I don't imagine it's going to happen.tom22406 said:http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=778742&navid=DL|CHI|homeThe Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have acquired defensemen Dennis Robertson and Jake Massie and a fifth-round selection in the 2017 National Hockey League Draft from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forwards Kris Versteeg and Joakim Nordstrom and a third-round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft.
The whole deal was to sign Kruger. And on the heels of that it frees up enough that Kruger signs a 1 year contract.
